Sky Young: September 2010
http://art-of-skyoung.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Here is the result of a lighting exercise I did while Francesco Giroldini. Was visiting Provo and giving training for us up and coming lighters. All I can say is the guy has made skillz. Model from Ty Carter's. Which is turning out to be a gorgeous looking film. Keep an eye out for it. So I'm back for round two for digital painting with Sam Nielson. And I'm happy with the way my first assignment turned out! So it is true- practice does make perfect. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sky Young: December 2009
http://art-of-skyoung.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 17, 2009. This is what happens. When you don't consistently sketch everyday. Or carry around a sketchbook. It's been a looooong time since I've sat down and sketched. On the other hand it was tons of fun to sit down and draw! Even though I took my sketchbook out of backpack (it's usually in there) and all my pens are mostly dried up from not using them, this is proof that any ordinary paper and pen is more than enough to sketch. It was a very liberating experience! Last updated Nov 8.

Sky Young: November 2010
http://art-of-skyoung.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. I posted a while ago about the planetarium project I'm working for a small scene that happens on the surface of Mars and I'm proud to display our first image (albeit a test image) that made it onto the planetarium dome! This has been a long time in the making and it still has quite a way to go, but just seeing this for the first time on the dome is exciting! Here's an idea of what it would look like on full dome:. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. A True Story: Fajita Night. How about we get some of these for the fajitas? Aren't those supposed to be spicy? You can get them but don't put them in mine. Don't worry. You'll never know they were around. Shannon (OC): Make sure you cook that habanero seperately! Hey dear, how's dinner coming-. I'm going to try and sautee them to see if that makes them less spicy. Oh good I'm starv-. Links to this post. Labels: based on a true story. It burns the mouth AND the eyes. Oh, and ...

http://laurenetay.blogspot.com/2011/07/speed-paint-taxi-driver.html
Will draw for doughnuts. Samples from a sweet-tooth student. Thursday, July 28, 2011. Speed Paint: Taxi Driver. I'm working on increasing my art speed. So here's the first in an ongoing series of speed paints from classic film. Helps my speed, helps my cinematography, helps my knowledge of film. This one took 40 minutes. Did I mention I'm slow? July 29, 2011 at 8:32 AM. I like the feel of the lighting and color. Its pretty neat! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
