Malia's SL Ramblings: November 2009
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Monday, November 23, 2009. Africa. now that's a region I probably will not have the opportunity to visit in my RL lifetime. But anything's possible in SL! The sim is a project by a nonprofit company called Uthango Social Investments. I've excerpted some quotes from their description of the sim. Why are we in Second Life? There are various tours of the sim you can take in a hot-air balloon. This was such a nice way to get started, that we took a second tour later. One of t...

Malia's SL Ramblings: March 2010
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Hi everyone. A little update for those of you wondering why I haven't been posting. I am currently living in China, and between my bandwidth limit and my laptop's graphics card, Second Life just does not run well for me here and I can't take lovely exploring screenshots for you. I miss SL and the friends I have there, so you will likely see me on some forum or other. Http:/ marystravelsandtravails.blogspot.com/. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Awesome...

Malia's SL Ramblings: October 2009
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Saturday, October 31, 2009. FB Kids Haunted Trick or Treat. This place for kids was really fun and sweet. There was a neighborhood of small houses, surrounded by a haunted theme: ghosts, witches, Jack-O-Lanterns, and spooky sound effects. Each of the houses contained a "treat" to be collected. (One had a trick, but I won't tell you what it was.). Here we are in our homemade Halloween costumes (yes, we made them ourselves). I saw a really creepy doll. But don't let that fo...

Note to the Russian people who friended me today (and the future ones). - perceptions
http://lutos.livejournal.com/33067.html
Note to the Russian people who friended me today (and the future ones). I have been friended by seven Russian-speaking people today only, and ten in the last week. Given that my stats show only two visitors from the Russian Federation or any other Russian-speaking country with the last visit having taken place on May 14th, I realize that you didn't even take the slightest glance at my Livejournal. Malia's SL Ramblings: July 2009
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Wednesday, July 29, 2009. This sim is fantastic, and well worth the strain on my antique graphics card to run the "high" settings and wait for textures to load. Wales Harbour has it all. Dancing, romance, exploring, scenery, art, and maybe even a little piracy. The place is large enough to actually keep us busy exploring for more than one day to see it all. At the base of the falls are an assortment of couple dances, I couldn't ask for a better spot to take pictures.

http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Wednesday, September 09, 2009. Brenda asked for pics wearing her "Accidental Avatar". T-shirt. so I got to messing around with skins and Windlight and whatnot. here's the result. I saw this plus-size avatar makeover challenge and couldn't resist. After all, I have plenty of RL practice for this one. I challenge you to find or make a big girl/big guy shape (and I'm not talking chunky.I mean big) and style it so its super cute! Malia's SL Ramblings: August 2009
http://maliawriter.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
My explorations in Second Life . Friday, August 14, 2009. Mindgardens was a lovely and intriguing place, with a little bit of everything. dragons, drowning, drizzle, drum circle. but NO drama! When we visited it was very peaceful. I used Search to find it, and I must warn you that the teleport link from Search left me falling 200m from the sky. However, once I landed and collected my bearings, the arrival point is full of waterfalls, sparklies and rainbows, a lovely fantasy scene. Subscribe to: Posts (At...
