HawkCount - North America. 發佈於 15 十月 2009. 灰面鵟鷹(Bustastur indicus)是野生動物保育法中的珍貴稀有野生動物，也是華盛頓公約 CITES 附錄二中的物種。 發佈於 09 七月 2009. 發布日期 2009/7/9 為世界揭開 海角 鵟鷹從何而來去向何處 由林務局、中央研究院及台灣猛禽研究會共同合作執行 灰面鵟鷹遷移之衛星追蹤計畫 繫放5隻灰面鵟鷹，歷時8個月的衛星追蹤下，得知灰面鵟鷹遷移歷時最長為8個月以及最遠的遷移距離約為9,000多公里，同時也確認完整遷移路線以及在中北韓邊境或吉林長白山區附近進行繁殖，此一世界首例研究成果，值得國人驕傲。 林務局指出，灰面鵟鷹(Bustastur indicus)，俗稱灰面鷲或南路鷹，臺灣地區每年春、秋兩季過境臺灣，數量約在15,000隻至35,000 隻之間，灰面鵟鷹為華盛頓公約 CITES 附錄二物種，同時也是野生動物保育法列為珍貴稀有野生動物。
