Wednesday, March 15, 2006. The picture embedded in our language. Any word we use can be changed to another word which is relating to the first word. Athough the statement is true, literally level its not. We use metaphor in many ways, it refers something. Where two metaphor is put side by side, this statement creates more powerful image with more description. For example "he is a cold person" This is emphasizing the emotion temperature. Time also can be emotion as well as space or future.

We have no longer have any link to the car. Objects eg smoking a cirgarate, its signifying something. Champain is a sign of laxurary. Can of laughter - its fake and make different effect of laugh. If you think about it, we have a theory in communication whether its to professional or casually through friends. Its identifying this theory and becoming aware of differences of language we use. Language is just not bout words, in my opinion its as important as body language and the way you express your ideas. Advertising can also be seen as language.
