Today we celebrate our independence from Great Britain. But since my mom has been in Japan, I feel like my dad and I are celebrating our independence from my mother. Most of the house chores shifted to my dad, but of course he forces me along. I can't tell if I'm his son or his babysitter (I say this knowing that I owe my parents a huge debt of gratitude). Sorry, I just had to (that's "Winning Life," the title of the introductory book by the SGI, in case anyone is confused). Jeremy Lin is hitting it big, but there are so many of these success stories hidden under the rug and away from the spotlight. But it's sure good to see this dude light it up on the court. Wind gusts are up to 70 mph . imagine a vehicle on the highway hitting you, albeit with less mass. Regardless, it hurts. Anyway, the wind and the rain are caused by Hurricane Sandy, one of the strongest hurricanes the Mid-Atlantic has experienced in quite some time. On December 14, 2011, I became a lawyer. A full-on licensed attorney. In fact, just the other day, I drafted a letter with Esq. at the end of my name.
