Rather Be Abroad | A blog with very little direction: travel, arts & crafts, & some lite cooking
A blog with very little direction: travel, arts and crafts, and some lite cooking. Unemployment = Quilting Crossword puzzles. August 17, 2011. For some reason I chose quilting. What started out as a fun project of picking out pretty fabrics has turned into a 2 month long undertaking. Each fabric is cut into 4: 12 x 12, 1: 12 x 24, and 2: 6 x 12. I kind of got a little creative here and randomly placed the pieces. Now two months later I have quilted the full sized quilt by hand. July 16, 2010. Beyond thei...

Doorkeeper
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than - well, almost anything really. Sunday, 25 March 2012. Well that was it - my last Sunday as Churchwarden. On Tuesday we have our APCM and my successor (carefully selected and nurtured for a couple of years) will be elected unanimously. After six long/short years I have just put away my stick (ebony, silver base, silver crown on the top - wouldn't last five minutes if not locked up) probably never to carry it again. During this time my family got ...

Rather be a kitty
Rather be a kitty. Saturday, September 21, 2013. I've mostly been writing up my daily tidbits in Facebook statuses, but watching a three year old becoming a three year old really deserves a blog post. When else do you get to see a person actually attempt to change the laws of nature and reason to suit their preferences? When else do you get challenged to make the impossible happen: everyday? Toddlerhood, that's when. Mommy is a liar and Daddy is a push over. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

I'd rather be a lion for a day.". I have no idea what I'm doing with). I don't know what to call these. Playing about with silhouettes in Calendars. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nottingham, United Kingdom. I'm currently in my third year at Nottingham Trent, studying Fine Art. View my complete profile. Has been edited slightly by my memory. I saw it first written as a piece of graffiti on the wall under a bridge in Berlin. It's better to be a lion for a day than a sheep all your life.'.

I'd rather be at the Beach but...
I'd rather be at the Beach but. A collection thoughts about sport, philosophy and the world in general. This blog is a perfect example of the phrase 'a little knowledge is a dangerous thing'. Friday, September 24, 2010. I’ve just spent what began as a tedious hour in my local shopping mall (do we call them malls over here? Does it really matter if your shoes cost $90 or $130? Are you going to get $40 of extra wear out of the more expensive brand? And if so, how are you measuring that? I often ask myself ...
