Most people pay $6-$8 for the ground up stuff! 8217; moments. I had another as soon as I picked up the tripe, realizing that a single tripe weighs about 20 lbs. A Raw Feeding Blog. I did a lot of reading before making the switch to raw. To be fair, Bram was eating Orijen, which is widely viewed to be the best commercially made dog food. (It’s either Orijen or Now! Bram really did not want to eat chicken. In fact, he was afraid of it! The silly little dog wouldn’t even go near any chicken for the first two days. It took until well into day three before Bram even tried to nibble on it! In total, it was five days until Bram actually had a proper raw meal.
