Is an instrument much associated with the musical culture of the Bengali people. The Dotara consists of a wooden body covered with leather. The strings run across a bridge and a metal fingerboard. It is commonly used in Bangladesh and West Bengal. The origin of the terms "dotar". Means "two"; "tar". But it is also pronounced "dotora".
