Welcome to my blog. Friday, 2 November 2012. Autumn 2012 Kimono de Jack NL at the Japanese Garden near The Hague. Sunday October 21st the Kimono de Jack NL. Aka KDJ Holland visited the Japanese garden at the Clingendael park. The Japanese garden is only open to the public twice a year for a few short weeks and with autumn colouring the leaves , what better occasion for our members to wear their beloved kimonos? Welcome to my blog. Tuesday, 15 April 2014. Flowers and kimonos : Keukenhof Spring 2014 ( part 1 of 3 ). Spring has finally arrived. Last weekend I went to a meeting with people from the Kimono de Jack NL at the Keukenhof Flower Show, near the small town of Lisse , located in the West of the Netherlands, not far from the coast. Welcome to my blog. Sunday, 22 April 2012. Spring 2012 : Tei-en Matsuri at the Japanese garden in Hasselt , Belgium. Hasselt in Belgium has a long standing relationship as a sister-city with Itami in Hyogo Prefecture , Japan. Twenty years ago this led to the building of a Japanese garden of 25000 m², at this time still the largest in Europe. The garden has been designed together with Japanese garden-architects and it shows. A path winds along the entire garden, crossing the stream at various points.

In honor of the visit of the Japanese emperor to the Rapenburg in Leiden in 2000 the SieboldHuis Japanmuseum organizes a yearly market. Welcome to my blog. Monday, 10 December 2012. Bigos : a famous old Polish hunter's stew . When the winter enters the land and the nights grow long and cold, this famous old Polish hunting dish will be perfect to keep you going! It's basically a hunter's stew of lots of white cabbage , sauerkraut, apples, some mushrooms, dried prunes , water , a little wine and plenty of pork or other leftovers of cooked meat. Every reheating will make it more tasteful! So my Polish cookbook says ). 1 kilo of white cabbage.
