狆は元々日本で産出された犬種ですが、 祖先はヨーロッパのスパニエルという 犬の血を引く外国産の犬種だと言われており、 奈良時代に現在の韓国から日本政府に献上されたのが始まりのようです。 名称の由来は、身体が小さい犬という意味で ちいさいいぬ が縮まって ちん と呼ばれるようになったという説があります。 その後、狆は江戸時代に黒船で来航したペリーによって海外へと運ばれ、 ジャパニーズ パグ という名称がつけられ、 たくさんの人が飼育するようになりました。 それから ジャパニーズ スパニエル と呼ばれるようになり、 今では ジャパニーズ チン という名前で親しまれています。 また、狆は鼻と目を通す鼻涙管が狭いので、 涙が鼻へ流れにくく目尻にたまりやすい 流涙症 にもかかりやすいのです。 狆のような小型犬がかかりやすい代表的な病気には、 まず 膝蓋骨脱臼 があります。 膝蓋骨脱臼は外から膝蓋骨に強い力がかかり、 筋肉や靭帯などがたるんでしまった場合と、 生まれながらに骨が変形していたり 筋肉などにたるみが見られることが原因と言われています。

Robinson Barracks is undoubtedly the most scenic of the four posts in Stuttgart. It and the Grenadier housing area command a great view of Stuttgart. The hill was originally an agricultural area, and although the fields are gone the vineyards still contribute to fine local wines. In the 1930s, infantry regiments moved into the new posts, training at the foot of the hill where apartment buildings stand today. Immediately after the war, Robinson Barracks was then a camp for refugees and internees.
