Lost In Transition: Let's Do This!
http://rbryanpeterson.blogspot.com/2014/05/lets-do-this.html
Confessions of a middle-of-the-pack, age-grouper triathlete. May 15, 2014. I've just come from the athlete's welcome banquet. It was very inspiring. A lot of great stories from people who lost weight to get here, the oldest competitor, the youngest competitors, people who've done a lot Ironmans before, and the fact that almost half the field are first timers. Would I be able to finish? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). As part of transforming my life and adopting a healthy lifestyle, I discovered triat...

Lost In Transition: Peak Training Volume & Taper
http://rbryanpeterson.blogspot.com/2014/05/peak-training-volume-taper.html
Confessions of a middle-of-the-pack, age-grouper triathlete. May 6, 2014. Peak Training Volume and Taper. Right now you are about to enter the taper. Perhaps you've been at this a few months, perhaps you've been at this a few years. For some of you this is your first IM, for others, a long-overdue welcome back to a race that few can match. You ran in the snow. You rode in the rain. You ran in the heat. You ran in the cold. You went out when others stayed home. It won't be pretty. It will bring up thought...
Lost In Transition: September 2013
http://rbryanpeterson.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Confessions of a middle-of-the-pack, age-grouper triathlete. September 8, 2013. It was a very small race that takes place in a park. The 400 meter swim is one of the most interesting I've done. First, you start off going down a big water slide into a natural spring fed pool. You could choose to skip the water slide and start out from the shore on the other side, but how much fun would that be? Links to this post. September 5, 2013. It's Not About the Race. Links to this post. September 3, 2013. It was a ...

Lost In Transition: September 2014
http://rbryanpeterson.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Confessions of a middle-of-the-pack, age-grouper triathlete. September 1, 2014. Tri Rock (It happens everyday, today was my day). I felt pretty good about the race going into it. However, about 1,000 meters into the swim, my back really started hurting. I knew it could be a long day and I needed to be cognizant of it throughout the race. I also kept telling myself there was no shame in DFN-ing due to injury, although that was a tough conversation to have. Me and Natasha Van Der Merwe. Links to this post.
