Welcome to Room 19. Friday, January 14, 2011. Just a quick "Hello" to you all now Christmas and the New Year madness has settled down. I hope you had a fabulous time and are looking forward to coming back to school, to your new classes and teachers! As promised I am uploading a photo from my daughters 21st of the cupcakes I made. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Because it is for the bees. Yesterday we planted a beautiful flower. First I got a pot and put dirt in the small pot then I put my pinky n the dirt and put a cornflower seed in the hole. After that I put my beautiful flower onto the windowsill. Sunday, November 7, 2010. Was That An Earthquake? Yesterday we had to practice having an earthquake. Miss Tait kept repeating “This is an Earthquake,” so we got under our table as fast as we could. Miss Smee timed us. Next time I think we will be faster than the whole school. Yesterday there was an earthquake drill we ran under the table as fast as we could go! Welcome to Room 19. Thursday, November 18, 2010. You should see our beans! They are growing really big now and we even have some flowers now. We have been deciding whether we will actually have 'real' beans in our class. Some children think we might need bees to make the flowers turn into beans. I wonder if they are right? Monday, September 6, 2010. Moa are tall, brown birds and they are nearly as tall as four long rulers. Moa only had one enemy when the Maori were not there. The enemy was the Haast eagle.
