Closer Look Yokomo R12

A closer look at Yokomo's new 1/12 chassis R12. While building the chassis I did not have any problem with any part; all parts fit precisely. For each step in the manual is a numerated plastic bag in the box. Making the chassis is pretty straightforward and quick. When building the kit I recommend to use a high-quality 1.5mm allen key. There are some tools included, but building the chassis will be more fun if you use some better tools. Click here to start. You can also jump directly to some pages:.

Is Yokomo's first pro-drift-chassis with belt-drive. It is a highly capable drift machine which offers lots of setup options and parts to fine-tune it to the driver's needs. Out of the box it is a standard 50/50 drifter. It can be easily changed to a counter-steer drift-machine with optional gear and belt packs (counter steer ratios: 1.3. Of course other optional parts for counter steer like front one-ways. And c-hubs with high caster-angle. Are available, too. Like always I recommend to use thread lock.

The Yokomo Type C. The Yokomo Type C is an updated classic. This article is not a manual how to build it or a test, it just gives some hints for people who are beginners in building a RC-car. The steps refer to the original manual. Step 3 (page 6). I usually add some silicone spray on the gears to reduce friction. It does not to have a big effect (if at all), but it makes me feel good.
