McChesney's Messages: Fire Safety
http://rclelementaryprincipal.blogspot.com/2011/10/fire-safety.html
Monday, October 17, 2011. Members of the Rockwell City Fire Department gave generously of their time today to visit our school and teach our preschool-2nd grade students about fire safety. The even brought fire chief hats for all the kids, and they parked the fire trucks on the playground for the kids to see. We really appreciate these volunteers who keep our community safe and who care so much about our students. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My regular hours are 7:45-3:45. Put on a HAT.

http://rclelementaryprincipal.blogspot.com/2011/10/fun-and-games.html
Thursday, October 6, 2011. It might look like fun and games, but take a closer look- it's really spelling practice. During work station time, these first graders are practicing their spelling words by using the SmartBoard. Gluing corn into letter shapes, and using magnetic letters. It's just one example of how teachers give kids opportunities to be active learners. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Email: nmcchesney@rockwell-city-lytton.k12.ia.us.
