GENERAL RENT BUREAU INFORMATION. Monday, October 24, 2005. Condo Damaged by Tenant. I am the owner of a condo apartment. My tenant told the management office that I had authorised repairs that I had not, and an outside contractor was called in to repair a shelf that had fallen, after being overloaded by the tenant. I told the tenant that they could get an estimate only. I have now received a bill for over $800 for these repairs. Where do I stand? I feel that the tenant should pay for the repair.

GENERAL RENT BUREAU INFORMATION. Friday, February 24, 2006. Smoke Alarms in Ontario. Recent Amendment to the Fire Code. A recent amendment to The Ontario Fire Code states that homes must have a working smoke alarm on every level by March 1, 2006. Prior to the change, smoke detectors were required near all sleeping areas within a dwelling.
