Rob's Art Education. March 2, 2011. A struggle for upward mobility. Night Watch - Rembrandt. This painting, I find, is very aesthetically appealing it its presentation of the rowdy militia and their fearless leader, but the very fact that this is in fact such a large piece is stunning. Admittedly, I was also struck by the story of the authors life, which lead me in part to choose this painting for presentation.
