The Normandy Photo Journal: The Green Woodpecker.
http://normandy-photo.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-green-woodpecker.html
The Normandy Photo Journal. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. This is a large bird, the size of a pigeon, or bigger. She landed just outside my window to inspect the grounds. Looking her up, I discovered that rather than pecking wood they mostly feed on ground catching ants with their long tongue (up to 10cm/4" long). When not in use it's coiled inside the bird's head. http://normandy-photo.blogspot.com/p/about-this-blog.html
The Normandy Photo Journal. This blog started as a photo addition to The Rendezvous magazine. Of course, the blog is open to all others with an interest in France and photos. Send in your photos, news and info on photography groups, exhibitions and other events. Follow me on Twitter. You can also subscribe to the blog's updates or join in as a follower. Horrific...

The Rendezvous Editor's Blog: December 2008
http://the-rendezvous.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
The Rendezvous Editor's Blog. Normandy’s English language magazine opens each month with the Editor’s Blog. How do you actually use up a salary of £18 million? There is a poster which reads: ”I’ve been rich, I’ve been poor. Rich is better.” How true. Being short of money is soul-destroying, marriage-wrecking. Repeating “no, we can’t afford it” to bright eyed children is very dreary. But £18 million? How do you actually use up that much money? Does any sane person want a gold-plated yacht? There's a level...

The Rendezvous Editor's Blog. Normandy’s English language magazine opens each month with the Editor’s Blog. It is nobody’s business. Who I am or. What I am doing". In the newspaper world, August is known as the silly season. The general shutdown means there is so little news around that editors end up running bits of nonsense - singing dogs, alien landings etc - to fill their pages. Just think of the employment opportunities if we continue down this route! But of course these aren’t just silly seas...

The Rendezvous Editor's Blog: January 2009
http://the-rendezvous.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
The Rendezvous Editor's Blog. Normandy’s English language magazine opens each month with the Editor’s Blog. If none of us has any money, we can’t employ or buy services from each other. This should be a cheery column about all those jolly resolutions we make and break at this time of year. But I think we’re all a bit jaded, this January, for such nonsense? Most of us are vacillating between stiff upper lip, we’ll get through it, heroism and explosions of blinding panic. Then there are all the French busi...
