Burkina Babies 17: April 2015
http://burkinababies17.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8. Monday, April 27, 2015. It is said that "variety is the spice of life". I can assure you that variety does add flavor to our lives in Burkina Faso. Ruth and I often comment that there are NO "typical" days here. And it is all good! Our work here is divided between our ministry in the village of Kimini and all that it entails and our work with adoptions which calls us out of the village and into Ouagadougou and beyond. Merci , Dawn. We cannot ...

Burkina Babies 17: Time" Marches" On
http://burkinababies17.blogspot.com/2015/04/time-marches-on.html
Act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8. Saturday, April 4, 2015. March certainly was a busy month. The last two weeks were filled with activity and abundant blessings. It would be impossible to share everything that occurred but here are some of the highlights of our "March" through the month. And the water gushed. We all rejoice after successful drilling. Chief presents a sheep as a thank you gift to the drilling team. Two nights of evangelization took place where the people were ...

Front Row Seats in Burkina: May 2015
http://frontrowburkina.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 30, 2015. Heeeeello, out there! Have you noticed how quiet it's been around here? Trouble with that is, we need you! Together we are "joined and held together by every supporting ligament, growing and building up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4) We can't do this without staying connected with you. So, here we go, back to sharing no matter how inadequate it may be. First of all, check out Philip's new "work" vehicle! What a difference that made! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Front Row Seats in Burkina: December 2014
http://frontrowburkina.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. Christmas in Burkina lacks the lights, the decorated trees, and the trips to the mall, but it a celebration all the same. In fact, we needed the whole day after Christmas to recover from all the exciting comings and goings of Christmas Day! You’ll soon understand why…. On Christmas morning we let our kids open their presents and eat breakfast before walking over to the church, knowing that tardies are not tallied against you in this culture. Still, we were the first ones th...

http://frontrowburkina.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. If You're Happy and You Know It. Let me bring you some big smiles for your Sunday afternoon. Each week on the way walk home from church we are joined by this pack of children. Once they saw me carry Daniel on my back, and now he gets a free ride on someone's back every week! I am sure the boys come to play with our bona fide soccer ball. The girls work on those loom band bracelets, a perfect group activity that can be done non-verbally. Don't these smiles just make your Sunday?

Act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8. Sunday, June 21, 2015. Often I have been asked ,"What do you do on your visits home? Here are some highlights of the last few weeks. St Thomas School in West Springfield included Sheltering Wings as a beneficiary of a recent fundraiser. As a result of their generosity, the first grade in Kimini will have reading books and the school will finally have the flagpole they have wanted for so long. Students helping students… it doesn'...Sharing upd...

Front Row Seats in Burkina: March 2015
http://frontrowburkina.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Water Wells, Evangelism, Medical Clinic.Oh My! This is one of those, "I can't believe this is really our lives" posts. We joined a short-term team from North Carolina and a handful of sold-out Burkinabe Christians for a well-drilling, medical mission, evangelism effort in the remote village of Kimini. (By "we" I mean Philip, Emily, and Joy because Daniel, Titus, and I stayed home to keep from sharing the chicken pox.). Prayer before the drilling began. You'll get a taste of al...

Front Row Seats in Burkina: Answers to your prayers.....
http://frontrowburkina.blogspot.com/2015/07/answers-to-your-prayers.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. Answers to your prayers. I wonder what language she is praying in. Philip wondered as a widow from our church prayed over him and our work with children. He could tell it was either Jula or Cherma, but couldn't discern which of these tribal languages she was speaking. His next thought was, "Is this real life? To move forward into getting their homes approved to be host families! Considering it was his birthday, Philip declared this to be the best birthday present possible! Good thi...
