Friday, 6 December 2013. An update on activities and forthcoming mission trip. I have been busy travelling around schools, churches etc roping in support for our Christmas Appeal. We have indeed been blessed with people donating filled shoe box gifts, items to fill them and donations towards transportation. We have made up around 200 boxes ourselves. 82 massive boxes including gifts for all our ministries/projects were loaded on Monday and are now on route to Romania. Links to this post.

Sunday, 14 June 2015. Journal for Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th of June. My time is coming to an end and there is still much to do! This morning I started with a visit to Connie! Within my last visits with her I have shared the fact that my time is coming to an end, and she has told me quite a few times that. She will miss me once I'm gone – she has been so very sweet and I shall miss her too! I had such a lovely time with them, much laughter and smiles! What a wonderful couple and great friends they are!

Tuesday, 14 October 2014. Congratulations to our Cardiff Marathon runners! Hayley and Eifion with their medals. With Wayne hanging up his trainers this year we were blessed with younger blood in the form of Hayley (from Park Church, Merthyr), Eifion (from the Rhondda) and Barry (from Brecon). Their heavy training schedules payed off and there was much enthusiasm among them. Tuesday, 13 January 2015. Journal Day 20 - 22nd December - Home for Christmas and a commitment to raise more funds. After finalising everything last night I grabbed a few hours sleep before leaving for the airport at 4am. A recent review on implementation of development programmes for rural women in India has called for. Fresh thinking and an overhaul of the design, resource mobilisation and implementation machinery. Mainstreaming is not about adding a Women's component or even a gender equality component into an existing activity more. What is in this resource CD? Why this approach is important? There are many different ways to make this Ukrainian soup (though Russians really enjoy it). Our language teacher taught us her version of borsch! 1 kilo of meat (I used chopped up pork). 1 carrot- peeled and chopped. 1/2 cabbage- thinly chopped. 5 potatoes- peeled and chopped. 1 onion- peeled and chopped. 1 small beet- -peeled and shredded. 1 T of salt. 1/4 c of ketchup. It is a hit!
