Everything distils into reading. I think we ought to read only the kind of books that wound and stab us." Franz Kafka. For someone who teaches mathematics, poetry comes easy. There are so many aspects about myself that are unknown even to me. Poetry is way to explore myself. Where it will lead me, I don't know. I don't want to know. I thrive on the unknown. Deadly Letters: E-Readers & Digital Books
http://deadlyletters.blogspot.com/2010/05/e-readers-digital-books.html
Saturday, May 15, 2010. E-Readers and Digital Books. The topic of Kindle and Kobo and all sorts of digital book platforms has been all over the news the last while. I understand that there is something of a revolution in the book world and that there are many fears (valid and reactionary and everything in between) about the future of the publishing industry. What I am wondering about is adoption: How quickly are people picking up Kindle and other similar electronic book gadgets? May 15, 2010 at 8:46 AM.
Deadly Letters: Self Pub?
http://deadlyletters.blogspot.com/2010/12/self-pub.html
Friday, December 3, 2010. Just curious if any of you know of any authors who shifted from "traditional" publishing to self publishing? It seems like there are several advantages to self publishing, yet, there is a bit of a stigma to it. As well, with self publishing, it can be difficult to have the book reviewed or carried in libraries. However, if you self publish, you retain control. Can you mention any authors who moved away from a publisher to go out on their own? December 3, 2010 at 9:13 AM. Mysteri...

The Soapy Violinist - My books, Music, Soap and adventures in life. Thursday, April 24, 2014. Dexter's Domain and Spring 2014. Dexter is very happy this time of year. Cool mornings and a lot of shade and bugs! What more could a hound want. I love the roses. These Roses always bloom so fully this time of year. I always think of my daughter and prom when they bloom. Good memories and hearty flowers. They thrive on neglect, and I am oh so thankful. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave me a note here.

Linda's Reading Blog: June 2013

Thursday, June 27, 2013. Playing Catch Up, Again. I really wanted to like this book and at first I did but the further I got into it, the less and less I enjoyed it. It's reminiscent of Stephen King's writing but the main character just isn't lovable enough for me. That's as far as I got.maybe someday I'll finish it.maybe not. So, I needed something totally different and this fit the bill. I gulped it! How could I resist a book with this title? Peter Byerly is mourning the death of his young wife by secl...

Linda's Reading Blog: May 2013
http://lindasreadingblog.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 19, 2013. This was a quick read for the plane ride back to Maine for the summer. It made the flight zip by! Mike Scanlon is a doctor serving in Afghanistan when he gets news that his wife has died from an accidental fall in the kitchen. He returns home to try to make sense of his life. He has an eight-month old daughter to care for and questions about his wife's death and life. But, I still enjoyed the book and was happy to have it to keep me company on the plane ride. Head In The Clouds
Friday, October 9, 2015. Review Of: The Force Of Gravity. I blast the stereo in a vain attempt to drown out my thoughts.
