Newer posts →. May 29, 2007 · 1:41 pm. Scary, yet hopeful. It made me worry about the milk I drink now that I’m living in the States for the summer. It also made me worry about cancer, which, for the first time in my life, I have seriously considered its potential links to bio-engineered everything. Something they have in the States and not Canada? Apriums. 1/3rd Apricot, 2/3rds plums. May 8, 2007 · 11:41 pm. Diary of the Dead. April 24, 2007 · 2:39 am. Look, it’s a funny-scary Korean monster movie.

Thank You for Smoking. The Matrix →. June 10, 2007 · 12:35 am. Mr and Mrs. Smith. I was very surprised at how much I enjoyed this film. The only criticisms I give it involve the excessive violence that seems out of place for such a light film. The two ‘hits’ in the movie, one by Mrs. Smith (Jolie) and Mr. Smith (Pitt), remind me of Buffy (the S&M and the quick-death neck-twister) and Boondock Saints (it was the Irish, probably). July 7, 2007 · 6:44 pm. Thank you, Pixar, for existing. Nothing impresses me more than Pixar. The first ten minutes of the film made my mouth go dry from being open so much. The detail for a animated film, from scratches on the spice rack to picture-perfect imitation of rats… I was in awe by their fur, disgusted by their likeness to real swarms of rats, and found them adorably plumb and petable. All in all, it rose to the expectations I’ve developed for Pixar and surpassed them. “Cars? Those two are incr...

August 29, 2007 · 2:05 am. Maybe I should limit my blog posts to movies I pay to see. Transformers made my day ever so sweeter. I was told it was a nerd movie, where the nerdy guy gets the hot girl. I can appreciate such a storyline as it parallels my own romance with my boyfriend. Also, I experienced some faint nostalgia from the vague memories of transformers from my childhood. But what made this movie more than just some action/adventure flick? 3) The prude in me appreciated that this movie kept the v...

Much Ado About Nothing. Mr and Mrs. Smith →. June 3, 2007 · 10:49 am. Thank You for Smoking. All satirical movies should be watched with similarly satirical food accompaniments. We watched Thank You for Smoking with Little Smokies (small sausages) and smoked brick cheese, smoked cheddar and smoked sausage. The thing with smoked food is that you can’t taste the smoke until it hits the back of your mouth, and then WHAM! But as for the movie? Three things turned me off. Much Ado About Nothing. You are comme...

What Would Jesus Blog?: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Juno
http://whatwouldjb.blogspot.com/2008/01/rise-and-fall-and-rise-of-juno.html
Friday, January 18, 2008. The Rise and Fall and Rise of Juno. Juno is an almost perfect film. I know this because I know perfection. I am perfection. Juno is almost perfection. Which is what makes the current Juno backlash so fascinating. There is a growing amount of people that are arguing that Juno was just above average, that Juno is well acted but overwritten. Juno's voice and dialogue were fkn painful to endure. I cringe imagining wannabe hipster kids quoting all those crappy, pseudo-cutesy/clev...
Christianity is Not Sex-Friendly | VERBATIM

Christianity is Not Sex-Friendly. April 24, 2006. Posted by lala28m in Uncategorized. Several weeks ago, the professor mentioned something that invoked some sharp emotions from me, pertaining to sex-friendliness in religion. I think in some way I got the feeling that even having a curiosity or questions about sex was a sin in itself. Christianity, today, is certainly not sex- friendly. Especially the Catholics, who expect the priests to abstain from sex for life! May 18, 2006. Is a GREAT resource 😉.

Creative explorations and streams of consciousness. 8220;What Are You? August 14, 2014. 8220;What Are You? I am a product of a maternal Bahamian grandfather and a Native American/Caucasian grandmother and a father, whom I was taken from too soon to know all of the details of his genetics. The fact is, his ethnicity is moderately in question even beyond his death a few years ago. All that is clear is that for most people, my background is a source of conversation far too often for my taste. 8221; What can...

Films, Comics, and All Sorts of Geekery. Film Review Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984). August 18, 2015. August 15, 2015. Review, I realized I needed to get a move on with this watch-through if I was going to see all of Studio Ghibli’s films before the end of the year. According to Wikipedia, there are twenty Studio Ghibli movies, and I’ve only seen four of them to date. That’s sixteen left. I’ll need to watch almost one a week to finish in time!
