Reading, Running, and Red Sox

Reading, Running, and Red Sox. Thursday, April 23, 2015. After only 39 miles, the shoe on the right isn't looking so vertical. No obvious signs of collapse along the medial edge though. Hmmm. Friday, April 17, 2015. Brock Holt - Too Valuable to Start. Baseball is a funny game. On one hand, it seems very simple. Throw ball, hit ball, catch ball. But part of the allure of the game is how complex the game actually is under that surface. This came to mind yet again as I read. Cross Posted on Thought Ambience.

Reading, Running, and Red Sox: May 2014

http://readingrunningredsox.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Reading, Running, and Red Sox. Saturday, May 3, 2014. C&O Canal 100: Race Report and a Few Reflections. I ran my first 100-miler last weekend, on April 26-27. This was the second year of the C&O Canal 100. A week later, I am feeling good and ready to start running again. My sense is that doing well in a 100-miler is half about fitness, and half about the ability to avoid or solve problems. While I did pretty well, there are some potential issues that I still need to think about. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Reading, Running, and Red Sox: Review of David Mitchell's "The Bone Clocks"

http://readingrunningredsox.blogspot.com/2015/01/review-of-david-mitchells-bone-clocks.html

Reading, Running, and Red Sox. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Review of David Mitchell's "The Bone Clocks". David Mitchell is a smart man. He’s written six novels, and like any good postmodernist, all of them have both small and large connections with each other. (More astute readers than I have found them all – check out this Good Reads review. Just leaves me wondering just what exactly that more is. The hyper connectedness of his novels hints at some kind of vague spirituality, of a (benevolent? I found t...

These maps are from RunKeeper. So the routes from your humble Strava. Using bloggers are't included, but it's still interesting to see. His conclusion:. Of particular interest for us is the Bosto. the way i walk: fridom - mellow work in progress

http://blog.innerfuze.com/2012/03/fridom-mellow-work-in-progress.html

The way i walk. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Fridom - mellow work in progress. Been spending quite a bit of time doing other things lately, primarily being a new daddy and running like crazy. Getting in shape for the burlington marathon. still finding the time to kick back and twist some knobs though. i miss the regular writing with the goal of coming up with finished tracks, but revel in the laid back nature of writing a track for no other reason than to get lost in it for a bit. Beautiful track, man!

the way i walk: September 2011

http://blog.innerfuze.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

The way i walk. Thursday, September 8, 2011. This one is a purely emotional studio piece, one i wrote with no expectations of where it would go or what i would do with it; just writing purely for the love of making music. All in all, i don't think this one is over the top. i think it builds some good emotional tension and draws you in, doesn't ever blow your mind, but keeps you in that emotional place for the duration. looking back, i do like it. Friday, September 2, 2011. Page, first to post a few that ...

Thought Ambience: The New Language of the Cinema

http://gibsonmeigs.blogspot.com/2012/10/the-new-language-of-cinema.html

Thursday, October 25, 2012. The New Language of the Cinema. To having Cloud Atlas. It's interesting that, in general, authors appear to give movie directors benevolent license to do whatever they have to do in order to make it work the big screen. Only occasionally do you hear of big disagreements like Stephen King's dislike of Kubrick's version. Originally posted on Reading, Running and Red Sox. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The way i walk. Friday, September 2, 2011. Ahhhh, life is good. my son is 6 weeks old today and the most beautiful little handful on the planet. I must say i am sincerely enjoying being a father; through all the countless surprises and learning experiences to the very things i have been looking forward to in the 10 months leading up to this. Soon i'll be posting a flood of tracks to my soundcloud. Anyway, i'm very much appreciative that people are still into the track washed out and i've been quite surpr...
