Our Workshops and Colonial Living Days Programs help young visitors experience what it was like to live in Colonial times. This page targets children in grades 1-4; for programs in 5th grade and up, please visit our Middle School Programs. Junior Colonial Living Days (grades 1-4). Cost: $7 per child; 90 minute program.

A former home to a New Hampshire State Treasurer, a Governor, and a Constitutional Convention member, the Ladd-Gilman House is a National Historic Landmark and the foundation of all of the Museum’s exhibits. The Gilman Bedroom celebrates John Taylor Gilman, who served as Governor of New Hampshire for a total of 14 years. Built in 1775, the Folsom Tavern once served as the center for Exeter life, hosted George Washington for a meal, and has been moved three times in the past 200 years.
