Old tools … new projects. VWS-WWP#1 Roubo – part six and seven, nearing the end. March 28, 2015. April 2, 2015. By R John Klimut. So, it’s been two weekends of work since the last update and the humble construction-lumber bench is getting close to being complete. Right now, I have a “working coat” of linseed oil on the bench (with the exception of the top), the vise installed and the top has been flattened. I’ve also built a removable sliding deadman. 8211; Bench dogs. 8211; Apply finish. 1957 Powermatic...

1941 Duro Benchtop Drill Press (SF3083) – Vintage Wood Shop
https://vintagewoodshop.wordpress.com/1948-duro-benchtop-drill-press-sf3083
Old tools … new projects. 1941 Duro Benchtop Drill Press (SF3083). This is a 1941-8 Duro 14-inch, bench top drill press. I acquired this machine for $30 and as you can see it was probably in the roughest shape of any of the tools I’ve dragged home. It was a fairly straight forward restoration and turned out quite nicely. 11 thoughts on “ 1941 Duro Benchtop Drill Press (SF3083). Old tools … new projects. 1975 Powermatic Model 100 (PM100) 12-Inch Planer/Thicknesser. I actually traded my completely restored PM50, 6-inch jointer for this planer. This machine was probably almost ready to run when I got it but I restored it anyway. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. 1957 DeWalt 10″ Radial Arm Saw (GW-I) – Vintage Wood Shop
https://vintagewoodshop.wordpress.com/1957-dewalt-10-radial-arm-saw-gw-i
Old tools … new projects. 1957 DeWalt 10″ Radial Arm Saw (GW-I). This was the first machine I ever bought with the intention of restoring and was also my first piece of official Old Wood Working Machinerey (OWWM). Of all the machines to cut my teeth on restoring, a Radial Arm Saw in retrospect, is not the one to start with. It’s complicated and has a multitude of small parts but the restoration went well and turned out nicely. 4 thoughts on “ 1957 DeWalt 10″ Radial Arm Saw (GW-I). March 6, 2014 at 2:02 pm.

https://vintagewoodshop.wordpress.com/1948-delta-14-wood-bandsaw-28-205
Old tools … new projects. 1948 Delta 14″ Wood Bandsaw (28-205). This is a 1948 Delta wood-only 14-inch bandsaw. Delta made a wood/metal version of this saw and the only difference is a gear box at the bootom rear of the saw to accomodate slowing the blade down for metal work. Through pure luck I was able to find a complete, original cast iron, art-deco stand. I also found a 3/4hp, three1phase, period-correct Delta motor to power the saw. 2 thoughts on “ 1948 Delta 14″ Wood Bandsaw (28-205). Work work wor...
