One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Thursday, 30 September 2010. Not a lot to report really, other than I'm still doing ok. It's day 13 post chemo now, so I'm nearly through the "crunch" time. Day 13 last time was when my neutrophils rose to the heady heights of 1.5! Had visitors today - H and baby Jessica. Both look brilliant, even though H would have you believe she's pigging out on chocolate (you're not doing bad on it, H! I watched the first 2...

One day at a time: 11 down 9 to go
http://traceytinsley.blogspot.com/2011/01/11-down-9-to-go.html
One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Sunday, 23 January 2011. 11 down 9 to go. It would have read 12 down 8 to go, but the machine broke down on Friday, so I have to have that one tagged on to the end of the treatment. I should now finish on Wednesday 3rd February (all being well and the machine not breaking down again). So, instead of going to hospital on Friday, I went for a walk with Susie B (well done for dragging me out! Tomorrow's radiotherap...

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Wednesday, 30 June 2010. Home sweet Home - Tuesday 29th June. My first couple of days at home have been very quiet. I've been experiencing some of the TLC the rest of the family have had from my mummy. No deodorant for the next 2 weeks either - I wondered where the smell was coming from! Hottest weeks we've had in ages and no deodorant - well, on 1 side anyway! Livi had a driving lesson in the afternoon and Mum ...

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Sunday, 28 November 2010. It's me again - well nearly. It's been a strange week. I hate this sh*t for what it's doing to me and my family and friends. It's freezing outside and I haven't stepped out of the door for over a week. Today, however, my darling husband took me for a walk. I wrapped up warm - 2 hats, no makeup just lippy (ha ha - just read that back - I did wear warm clothes too! Managed a bit of exerci...

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Friday, 30 July 2010. Quick appointment times, but still a long wait. A quiet day, nothing unusual to report other than Livi and Vaughan actually went out to get some bread (after much cajoling! And then Livi made us toasties! Adam was out with his friends, as he has been for most of the week. We moved on though, to how long Vaughan should boil his 3 eggs for! 3,2,1, back in the room - lovely. Had to get up earl...

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Saturday, 29 January 2011. Only 3 more left! The lack of confidence took another bashing this week. My late appointment for radiotherapy was incredibly late as the other machine had broken down! I'm not sure what her original diagnosis was. On Tuesday, I popped into work. Liv had an appointment, so I took the chance to say a quick hello to a few people (fab looking secretaries office - well done girls! Susie B, ...

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Sunday, 26 December 2010. I had my radiotherapy planning session on Tuesday. That was a novel experience! I was in there for around 45 minutes. I was shown into the "simulator" room, had to sign a couple of consent forms, had a quick chat with my Oncologist (who suddenly appeared, like Mr Benn, from behind a door) and then it all began. However, Tamoxifen can cause blood clots and I have. Just to shut him up, we...

Chris took the day off so he could take me to my first session (after that, I'm on my own! We had a lazy morning and then set off around 13:00 for a 14:00 appointment. We sat and waited for about 40 minutes, before a young girl came round to collect me. She is a student called Jodie, very young and fresh faced (made me feel old! So that's 1 down, 19 to go. 6 January 2011 at 17:15.

One day at a time. Here's to a more positive 2011! May it be a happy, healthy one for us all. Wednesday, 2 March 2011. Nothing to see here folks, move along please. As I'm sure you'll read and see on Chris' blog, we've been away to Mum and Dad's house in Cornwall. They were on holiday, so we had the house to ourselves. It was nice to get away and have a change of scenery. The weather was mainly crap, but we managed to get out most days. I got to see the sea, which I love - huge waves! It was just Chris, ...
