That Comic Youve Heard Of. Sunday, August 1, 2010. SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD movie review! At the risk of turning this place into a Scott Pilgrim blog, I feel like I owe the world my review of the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. As well as the next day's, "My eyes are still jangling from last night.". Do yourself a big favo...

That Comic Youve Heard Of. Friday, August 6, 2010. It's been a crazy week for me personally, and it's only going to get crazier from here, so I'm afraid that the Scott Pilgrim movie review is all that's happening around here (though I have plenty in the works! Part of the craziness involved going to a pretty great flea market, which means cheap back issues! Anyway, this week's Hop question is:. DO YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC WHEN YOU READ? Oh YA! Comics - Young Adult Comics and Graphic Novels: THE P.L.A.I.N. JANES written by Cecil Castellucci, art by Jim Rugg
http://ohyacomics.blogspot.com/2010/09/plain-janes-written-by-cecil.html
That Comic Youve Heard Of. Saturday, September 18, 2010. THE PL.A.I.N. JANES written by Cecil Castellucci, art by Jim Rugg. I've love Cecil Castellucci's quirky plots and creative heroines since her debut novel Boy Proof. Jim Rugg's art is clean, cute, and fun- perfect for the story! Verdict: The PLAIN Janes. Is an upbeat story for anyone who considers themselves a dreamer, but it probably won't convert many cynics. You can read a 17-page PDF preview here. 8855;⊗⊗⊗ /5. Posted by Oh YA! Jamie S. Rich.

Oh YA! Comics - Young Adult Comics and Graphic Novels: Review Policy
http://ohyacomics.blogspot.com/p/review-policy.html
That Comic Youve Heard Of. If you are a creator or a publisher who has a comic/graphic novel for me to review, great! I would love to read and review any work that meets the following guidelines. Have YA appeal. I know, seems obvious, but I have been around too many aspiring creators not to be realistic about how misguided they can be with ambition to get people to read their work. I consider something to have YA appeal if:. But know the difference between making your female characters sexual beings.

Oh YA! Comics - Young Adult Comics and Graphic Novels: That Comic You've Heard Of...
http://ohyacomics.blogspot.com/p/that-comic-book-youve-heard-of.html
That Comic Youve Heard Of. That Comic You've Heard Of. There are plenty of comics out there that are not YA that you have probably heard of and are curious about. Since I probably won't review them here, I figured I should at least say a few words about them since you're here already. And of course, comment if there's one I've missed. The big one. It's dense, but still readable and understandable for the new comics reader, and it's worth it. Just don't rush it. Though not as frequently and not as wordy.
