June 12, 2016. I deleted the original iteration of this blog a few months after dropping out of my MFA program in 2015. It reminded me too much of that disappointment of dreams unfulfilled. I have to think that most writers who dream of getting into a fully funded MFA program romanticize the prospect to some degree, and maybe some of those fantasies actually come true but my MFA program was a kind of descent into madness.
