Cindy Swindell: January 2009
http://cindyswindell.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 20, 2009. I've been following a fantastic blog named Different Strokes from Different Folks. Karin Jurik is a wonderful artist and photographer who will post a picture for inspiration. Artist from all over paint their interpretation of it, send her a jpeg and the weeks results are posted. It is facinating to see the different takes on it. Not looking at Karin's blog until I was finished so I wouldn't be influenced. Sunday, January 18, 2009. Labels: 8x6 oil on board. A bit about me.

Cindy Swindell: Qiang Huang ~ Day 3
http://cindyswindell.blogspot.com/2011/04/qiang-huang-day-3.html
Sunday, April 17, 2011. Qiang Huang Day 3. A quick paint morning before the afternoon lecture about the business side of art. Qiang. Is a wonderful teacher, both with the artistic side and the business side. He's very clear, precise and detailed. Did I mention he's an engineer in real life? Would recommend his workshops. And fellow artists. It was great learning experience (but, boy, am I tired! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A bit about me. I am a painter of life. I paint one day at a time.

Cindy Swindell: October 2010
http://cindyswindell.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 2, 2010. I had a wonderful day at a workshop by Bill Kalwick. Today Bill is a lot of fun, very knowledgable, and full of encouragement, especially to someone who hasn't painted in over a year. It feel so great to put brush to canvas, squinting and hoping to find the right values needed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A bit about me. I am a painter of life. Be it still, landscape or figurative. I paint one day at a time. View my complete profile. Carol Marine's Painting a Day.

Cindy Swindell: Qiang Huang ~ Day 2
http://cindyswindell.blogspot.com/2011/04/qiang-huang-day-2.html
Saturday, April 16, 2011. Qiang Huang Day 2. Oh, the pain of a high key painting (light background) and a light pink rose. And Cobalt. And a silver bowl. I love a challenge, but hate it at the same time. Again, not a finished piece, but an exercise. Did a demo that included 3 different color roses. It is so beautifully. Done, I could weep. Here's a detail from his painting. April 17, 2011 at 8:27 AM. I love high key paintings, but I feel your pain! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A bit about me.

Photographs for a Lifetime. Photography by Rebecca Finch. In front of each stained glass window there seemed to be an understood acceptable place for standing still and taking in the beauty there. I can't imagine what the cathedral might have looked like if it had been a sunny day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Site Pages and Related Links.
