The Machenwood Chronicles and Other Tales: September 2011

http://rebeccahartwriting.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

The Machenwood Chronicles and Other Tales. One fantasy writer's journey toward publication. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Book Review: Mile 81 by Stephen King. My rating: 3 of 5 stars. At $599 for the ebook download, I really expected a novel instead of a short story. I can't even call it a novella - it was that short. Hoping the novel due out in November has more of what I read Stephen King novels for, originality and dark twist you dont see coming. View all my reviews. Links to this post. Acceptance N...

http://rebeccahartwriting.blogspot.com/2011/10/just-keep-swimmingerwriting.html

The Machenwood Chronicles and Other Tales. One fantasy writer's journey toward publication. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Just Keep Swimming.er.Writing. One of my favorite Disney movies is Finding Nemo. My favorite character from the movie? Dory, of course. She is one of those characters that may appear a bit thick, but the gems of wisdom she shares.are just that, pure gems. Her motto: Just keep swimming is a great metaphor for life - and writing. We swim, swim.". October 13, 2011 at 11:05 AM. Six Sentence...

EBooks and reviews for young adults and children. Kindle paranormal romance, urban fantasy. Friday, 20 December 2013. http://jdfield.blogspot.com/2015/01/what-is-last-divided-capital-city-in.html

EBooks and reviews for young adults and children. Kindle paranormal romance, urban fantasy. Saturday, 24 January 2015. What is the last divided capital city in the world? The clue is Lawrence Durrell) And when is an island not an island? A divided city is one split between two countries, like Berlin used to be between East and West Germany, for example. And ironic shop names, like this. Or this, which is the view from the mosque in Larnaca. You cross the border, though, and everything is very different&#...

EBooks and reviews for young adults and children. Kindle paranormal romance, urban fantasy. Wednesday, 29 January 2014. True Adventures of a Part Time Writer. The Sea of Galilee. I sat here, at this table, in a state of slight disbelief. In the distance was the Sea of Galilee, the town I was in was Roman, and the restaurant had been built in a beautiful black and yellow stone Ottoman mansion. The restaurant serves beautiful lamb stews, to the sound of haunting Lebanese guitar music. The day I was the...

EBooks and reviews for young adults and children. Kindle paranormal romance, urban fantasy. Saturday, 14 February 2015. What's going on in Ukraine is horrible. I feel it, because Ukraine is close to my heart. I lived there for three years. Three of the best years of my life. It's a beautiful country, filled with beautiful people, and when I was there it seemed to be edging its way out of hard times. Now its right back amongst them, worse than ever. Check it out. Happy Valentines. Sunday, 1 February 2015.

Getting back into the swing of things | Insipid Observations

https://dellaodell.wordpress.com/2012/04/14/getting-back-into-the-swing-of-things

Ramblings of a bored writer. Getting back into the swing of things. Well, I am back from my unannounced break. I was training for a job and now that I’ve passed certification, I can breathe! I’m getting back into the swing of things and hope to be active in my blog posts once again. It’s been so long since I’ve written, I had to reread about 23k of my manuscript to see where I left off. How sad. Newer Entry →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). The end of the...

Bang Bang (he shot me down) | Insipid Observations

https://dellaodell.wordpress.com/2011/12/20/bang-bang-he-shot-me-down

Ramblings of a bored writer. Bang Bang (he shot me down). Just a little something for your edification. :p. There are many different versions of this song. I’m not sure I have a favorite. They all have a different feel. Cher’s version used to be my favorite, but last night I found myself leaning toward Nancy’s version. Then, I found Sheila’s version and now I may like that one more. No matter what, each lady does a lovely rendition. And tagged Ania Dąbrowska. Newer Entry →. Annabelle M. Ramos. Sorry NaNo...

https://dellaodell.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/ive-emerged-from-my-cave

Ramblings of a bored writer. I’ve emerged from my cave. Life has been crazy, but I’m still here. Work has pretty much taken over my life so I’ve had zero time for any writing, but things are settling down some, so who knows? I had a contest slated up for this month, but it looks like I’ll have to postpone it. 😦 Maybe even until Christmas. Meh! Well, on the bright side, that gives me time to make the prize(s) and content of the contest even better! Start writing it. We’ll see how long I can last . Six Se...

I wrote 16,590 words…but not one of them was for my novel. | Insipid Observations

https://dellaodell.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/i-wrote-16590-words-but-not-one-of-them-was-for-my-novel

Ramblings of a bored writer. I wrote 16,590 words…but not one of them was for my novel. I’ve recently begun working as a transcriptionist. I listen to audio files or watch videos and transcribe what’s being said. It’s great in that I can work from home and make my own schedule. The down side is it has completely taken any desire I have to write or type and smashed it to smithereens. On another note. I plan on holding a contest in the near future. Be on the lookout! Call of the Sea. Rebecca is a single parent, full time IT geek, and reformed gaming addict living in Upstate NY. When not at the office with her nose buried in a laptop trying to fix it, she can be found at home with her nose buried in a laptop, writing instead. If she isn't driving herself crazy trying to juggle working, family, and writing, she is probably vegging out at her little camper in the woods, "Tortuga" sipping something with rum in it.
