Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 18, 2009. The two narrative elements I have chosen to focus on for the long paper are the setting and the point-of-view. The setting of a piece of literature is the place and when the actions of the plot occur. The setting is closely tied to the tone and mood of the book. Setting gives the reading a lot of insight into the characters’ lives and actions that are told in the plot. Whose brain do you get to invade? Is told from the first-person point-of-view.
