Visiting Royalty: July 2011
http://visitingroyalty.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 11, 2011. Auntie Charity Wants to Serve Children in Uganda as a Social Worker. Charity was my roommate in Uganda. She is a kind hearted, hard working gal and I am blessed to call her a friend. Charity loves the Lord and loves His children. Most mornings I would awaken early to the sound of her prayers. She would pray for me, the children, and just praise and thank God for who He is. Charity preparing meals for 19 people. Her daily commitment to love and care for children really challenged me.

Visiting Royalty: October 2011
http://visitingroyalty.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 26, 2011. After I signed up to sponsor Ruth last fall I was going through some of the pictures of kids that needed sponsors on Rebecca's Facebook page and I fell in love with a little boy named Meddy. If I could have sponsored two kids I would have signed up to sponsor him in a heart beat. So after one year of wanting to be his sponsor I now can say that I am! What is holding you back from sponsoring a child? If you are already sponsoring one, can you sponsor another one? My prayer is ...

Secret Garden Carnivals: Exercise and amazement
http://secretgardencarnivals.blogspot.com/2012/12/exercise-and-amazement.html
Friday, December 28, 2012. I love how my body feels when I exercise. She is happy. Thrilled at the movement, since my job confines me to a desk all day. Next summer I will wear shorts. I will wear tank tops. I may even, maybe, wear dresses. If you know me you know this is a big deal for me. I may even venture out into wearing sandals. I don't really wear them because you can't really see what's going on with my feet when I'm wearing jeans all the time. Today marks four months until I turn 28. I recently ...

Vittee's Blog: Yurt camp and UB day 3
http://vittee.blogspot.com/2012/07/yurt-camp-ub-day-3.html
There was an error in this gadget. Thursday, July 5, 2012. Yurt camp and UB day 3. It was a little hike and a bunch of stairs. As you approached the monastery you passed 150 signs with Buddhist sayings of wisdom. On the mountain side as you there were symbols painted on to the cliff walls. As you looked off into the distance you could see the valleys had a beautiful “U” shape to them. They were formed by ancient glaciers. The monastery itself was simple but charming. There was an error in this gadget. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Yesterday I forgot to mention that I held an eagle on my arm at one of our stops. What a majestic bird, but if it turned on me it would have torn me apart. Following that we went and saw the world's biggest statue of Genghis Khan which also is the worlds largest statue with a horse. It is over 100 feet tall. World's largest statue of Genghis Khan. I got to try my had at archery with a typical Mongolian bow. I was also able to go horse back r...

There was an error in this gadget. Saturday, July 7, 2012. Train day 7 and Beijing Day 1. The mass of people leaving the train station was amazing. It was muggy and hazy. I think that is a blessing because this humidity with the full power of the sun would be quite unbearable. This city is truly a megalopolis. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Visiting Royalty: Missionaries Need Vacations, Too!
http://visitingroyalty.blogspot.com/2011/08/missionaries-need-vacations-too.html
Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Missionaries Need Vacations, Too! Rebecca Sorensen, my amazing friend/hero in Uganda, Africa, will be in the states during September and October to raise support and awareness for her ministry and meet with her board. This year she has transitioned her ministry from being under an umbrella 501c(3) to her own, worked on upgrading her website, overseen a school for 400 kids, took care of the 17 children in her home and I'm sure I'm leaving out a lot of other stuff she did!
