Friday, July 17, 2009. I know- I've neglected this blog. I've been doing more photography. Lately. I love the immediacy of photography. You shoot, edit and then your pictures are done. That's it. You have something to show for all your effort. Film is a much longer a process, with less guaranteed results, requiring group collaboration on all levels. The screenplay is merely a blueprint. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Nuts About Sketches 197. It's reveal day at Nuts About Sketches. This week's sketch was a 2-pager, but I opted to do only the left side of the sketch. The photos were taken at one of my husband's work functions in 2010. We were able to take Baby Z with us and my husband loved showing him off to his colleagues. Baby Z was only 7-months old at the time. I used Rich Razzleberry. Textured cardstock and Pocketful of Posies. DSP which was retired in 2011. Thursday, January 19, 2012.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012. A few weeks ago, Baby Z found a new friend - My Buddy - that classic toy from the 1980's. He belongs to my sister's fiance and Baby Z was able to play with the doll for that evening. Z is 23 months old, so there is a lot of babbling and gesturing at this age. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Back in December of last year, I was lucky enough to get a special copy of Baby Z on the cover. Of course, on top of the several copies I ordered, I also had to create a layout about it. This week's sketch at Nuts About Sketches. I flipped the sketch to accommodate the photograph. Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Stamp is such a cute stamp! It's my go-to stamp for little kid birthday cards. The little balloon was cut out and popped up with some adhesive foam. It's so cute. Monday, October 31, 2011. Baby Z's 1st Halloween. Last year was Baby Z's first Halloween. We dressed him up in a pumpkin bunting bag that was given to us. This year, he will wear another costume given to us; this time, from his cousin Holle. It took me a year, as it usually does, to create a layout about his adventure. Sunday, March 18, 2012. It's been over a month since I last shared anything with you. Time has been a-movin'. Baby Z is now 23 months old. I can't believe he'll be 2 very soon. Although yesterday was St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd share the card I made for my honey for Valentine's Day. A month later. This card was a complete copy from Kimberly van Diepen. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. I Think I Can. This was one of those days. I spent all morning getting ready and rushed to an audition to basically be asked to perform circus tricks. It seemed my pantomime skills were lacking, which somehow disappointed the panel. I shuffled home only to come face to face with a big, ugly festival rejection letter for Swing Vote.
