Oana Rusu Tomai moved to Seattle in the fall of 2004 after she received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music. The Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival is held at the University of South Florida in Tampa, just thirty minutes from the Tampa International Airport. The campus is large, beautiful, very safe and easy to navigate on foot. There are beautiful spots everywhere! A free campus bus runs frequently and goes to selected off-campus locations for excellent food and shoppoing. There is ample cheap parking by the dorm and the music building.

Solo piano applicants must apply online and upload a digital audition file (video much preferred) and teacher recommendation by March 4, 2017. All applications will be considered incomplete until the applicant's digital audition. 18 is the customary age to receive dormitory housing; however arrangements may be made for outstanding younger applicants.
