Rae Of Light: Jet lag, carbonnade, and the North Sea
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2014/07/jet-lag-carbonnade-and-north-sea.html
Wednesday, July 09, 2014. Jet lag, carbonnade, and the North Sea. I pushed through the anxiety of preparation, to the determination of travel, to the exhaustion of looooong flights, to the sigh of relief of finally making it to Brussels. My long layover in Atlanta was made entertaining by people watching and enjoyng a flamboyant server say, "welcome to freshens! Every two minutes. It's funny what I find entertaining when I am sleep deprived. The flight was long and restless, but I finally made it at 8:30...

Rae Of Light: Me, Belgium, and France-y Stuff
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2014/08/me-belgium-and-france-y-stuff.html
Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Me, Belgium, and France-y Stuff. Gah Some day I'll get better at this. I came down with a four day flu virus that wiped me out and yesterday was the first day I felt almost totally well. No puking or cold-like symptoms, thankfully, but immense weakness, feeling faint, dizzy, and shaky; plus I wasn't able to eat much. Hooray for stomach shrinkage! Though I really don't recommend it as a diet. Abiding in His love has become the theme of this adventure. Mont Saint Michel was probab...

Rae Of Light: April 2014
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Escape into the wild world. This is ticket buying week. My newest paycheck and lots of saved up money are nearly going to be blown in one fell swoop. I'm going to Europe. Again. That sounds so snooty, but I don't mean it in that way at all. I just can't believe it myself. Now that I'm researching, comparing prices, and figuring out specific dates is it only becoming more than a dream. This adventurous soul had been striving to be where it has been planted; to love, learn, and g...

Rae Of Light: July 2012
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 23, 2012. Pardon my unacceptable excuses. I realize that I have majorly dropped the ball with the blogging thing. I have appreciated the people who have told me that they are waiting for more pictures and stories from Kayla's and my trip, because it makes me excited that people have read and care. In my free time in the last half of our time in Belgium I slept or just didn't have the umph to blog about everything, and the two weeks of travel were a whirlwind. So. This week we have been tryin...

Rae Of Light: September 2012
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 09, 2012. One of my favorite things about August is that I get a little card in the mail for my birthday from Anthropologie. Call me ridiculous, but it's true. It's only 15% off, but with Anthro, I'll take what I can get. This year I purchased this nifty little journal:. Five years ago I was still living in Norman and my dad had started the process of applying for his job at Kirtland AFB. I could never have guessed what that would lead to and where I would be now! Check it out here.

Rae Of Light: March 2012
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 31, 2012. Brussels (Sister #2's account). We had a wonderful time in Brussels last Friday. I hope that I can communicate at least a fraction of the wide array of feeling and experiences that we had. Some of the wonder and beauties of the city really cannot be captured in pictures or words; you just have to see it on your own. But I hope that I can relay some of it. I'm a major fan of cobblestone streets. We asked the Lord for help with our attitudes and thanked Him for the opportunity to ...

Rae Of Light: July 2014
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 13, 2014. I knew coming here would be about so much more than just art; that through all of the challenges I face in re-learning what I have lost and just from being around so much wisdom, that I would grow in immense ways personally and spiritually. Chateau La Hulpe. 5 minutes from the house by car, so I will run there occasionally. There have been so many lessons already. As you are working on drawing, you have to really see what you are looking at. Sounds funny or simple, but it is true.

Rae Of Light: September 2014
http://raeoflight.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 17, 2014. I had an awesome post a couple weeks ago, almost all the way written, complete with pictures and everything, and then it just vanished. I didn't have the heart to stay up and write it all over again. I haven't written as much as I had hoped. I've been busy doing, learning, and seeing so many things. The processing and sharing parts have always been the most difficult for me. But as I have been quite forced to slow down, it might be a good time for that. And I don't have.

Rae Of Light: August 2012

Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Is this real life? The coming chronicles of a soon-to-be bartender near you). I promise I am not being controversial because I can. I have not gone off the deep end. I am legitimately sane. I still love Jesus and I think he has led me to my current path in life. I just went to my first day of bartending school. And I loved. But maybe for some of you, this is the next thing on your list that makes you question my sanity. Don't freak out on me. Don't drop me like a hot plate.

Tuesday, March 05, 2013. Goals(A late list of new year resolutions of sorts). I know I'm late, but here are some things I've been thinking about for this year. :). 1 Be all here- I am always trying to plan two steps ahead. But I am realizing that most of the soul-changing, heart-growing, hard-but-more-like-Jesus-making things in my life have been completely unexpected. I will try to live fully each day and trust Him with my future. So with my eyes working to fix themselves on Jesus, and my heart working ...
