Friday, April 22, 2011. He Is The Only Way. This week I was reading the Easter Story to the kids and I honestly wept. Not just at the fact of all the pain Jesus went through, nailed to the cross. Not just at the fact that I have been redeemed, forgiven, made clean and whole by His priceless blood. But I wept at the end of the story and told Noah and Myah that the story doesn't end here. And we also have the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-28. The lawyer questions Jesus about how to inherit eternal life. Jesus says to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it? Then the lawyer asks another question," Who is my Neighbor? I would never do that! We have narrowed this answer down to fit our perspective...

Wednesday, March 2, 2011. I heard a great message, from my pastor Jay Hanson, about climbing into love. He spoke about relationships, and how we have to work at them. Relationships, real lasting relationships, take a lot of work. I loved the points that he brought up in this, and understood how I could apply them in my own life. He also compared this to our relationship with Christ. Yet lately, I feel like I am falling. In love with my Maker. And by falling. Spirit can work this in us and through us.

A Tale of Two Boys. We had the best 4th of July week at a little place called Santa Rosa Beach - right on 30A in Florida. We spent time at the beach and the pool and then the pool and the beach - in no particular order! Unless we were napping you could find us at one of those spots. Will is now swimming like a fish and Nate is independent with his swimmies, so it was a whole new ballgame for us this year, to which the big people were all very grateful for! Thank you, Mimi and Pops, for such a great week!

A Tale of Two Boys. We've come a long way! It's now a yearly tradition to gather at the Herndon's for our Easter Sunday festivities - something we look forward to every year. Not only do we get to eat an incredible lunch but we also have a super fun Easter egg hunt and even get a visit from a really cool Easter bunny.
