Tuesday, January 11, 2011. I do still exist, and I have not quit. The blogging fell by the wayside pretty quickly after it started. Time to revive it! The last 12 week contest went by. I didn't win. In November I overextended myself. In addition to six sessions with Marty per week I also signed on for four sessions a week at the office (lunch hour) and three mornings a week with another boot camp. Oh my goodness that was NUTS! Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Third time's the charm? I’ve been super inconsistent with this blogging thing. Let me try again! Lots has happened since my last report. Here’s a summary:. Trek Up The Tower – survived, got a sweet medal. Did my first 5K. Did a bunch more 5K’s. Did a 7K off-road race. Did a 5 mile race (hated every minute). Did a “Try”athlon. Completed a half marathon. Friday, March 2, 2012. This past Saturday was the annual Trek Up The Tower, a race to the top of the First National Bank Tower here in Omaha. 40 flights up. For some insane reason I signed up to participate again this year. Wednesday, December 14, 2011. So my goal was to write weekly, and here I am two days in a row. w00t go me! I started off coming in the mornings at the Y. There were usually around 6 people there then. I'd warm up on the elliptical, we'd do a weight circuit, and then we'd finish in the gym with basketball relays or the "card game" or bouncing medicine balls and running in circles. Monday, March 5, 2012. I've always thought of spring as a good time for renewal. Everything that's been dormant for the winter comes back to life. My garden, currently, is starting to come up, oblivious to the fact that this is Nebraska and only March and it could still find itself covered in snow a month or two from now. Everything seems so optimistic this time of year. I've decided the only answer is to ride. So, beginning next Monday, March 12th, I will ride. Everyday. Omaha, NE, United States.
