Food Family = Beautiful Life. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. No, this is not a foody post. I just need to get it out there, and maybe complain just a teeny bit. When I was younger my family lived in Arizona, but because my parents grew up in San Diego we often vacationed there. We traveled to San Diego every summer, as well as during many holdiays. Salinas is about 2 hours south of San Francisco and is very close to the coast. Only 12 miles from where we lived in Salinas to the ocean! As the crow flies).

Sunbaked Sunshine: Tortillas--sorta...
http://sunbakedsunshine.blogspot.com/2014/07/tortillas-sorta.html
Food Family = Beautiful Life. Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Why am I telling you all of this? So, what does the diet consist of? A lot of veggies, some fruit, and some meat. Thats pretty much it. Oh, and some good fats! We also don't eat grains, because the hunter/gatherers didn't grow crops, they gathered what plants they could find. So no bread, rice, oatmeal, etc. Vegetables and fruits can provide all the vitamins and minerals needed. I don't know.but the point is that our bodies adapt to where we are l...

Sunbaked Sunshine: November 2013
http://sunbakedsunshine.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Food Family = Beautiful Life. Wednesday, November 20, 2013. So, a few Christmas's ago my grandma gave my sisters and me a cookbook full of her "tried and true" recipes. In it she included little notes about where she got the recipe, a time she made the recipe, or something about how to make the recipe. It is on of my most cherished gifts. I absolutely love it and love making recipes from my grandma. Thanks Grandma! 3/4 tsp salt and pepper. 6 cups of milk. 1 tbs chicken bouillon. 4 green onions chopped up.

Food Family = Beautiful Life. Sunday, December 8, 2013. Okay, this isn't any special recipe. Its super easy and probably 99% of the time comes out deliciously. But I wanted to blog about this because of a weird thing that I found on my roast. I bought the roast a few weeks ago on an awesome sale at Broulims. Its a 6 or 7 pound pork should roast and I bought it for $4. Pretty dang good, right? Pig skin still on my roast! It was the weirdest thing. I didn't know they leave the skin on some roasts! Food Family = Beautiful Life. Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Delicious and Easy Peasy Homemade Peanut Butter! Yes, I know, its been quite a while since I've said hello on here. The reason? Its taking up all of my time, so even though I've been experimenting with yummy recipes, I've had no time to post them! Peanut butter is probably the easiest thing to make! The first time we...
