My Thoughts Along The Way. Friday, November 21, 2008. I had the great fortune to spend last weekend hiking Mt. LeConte in the Smoky Mountains. I hiked the mountain once before, but this was the first time I was able to spend the night at the peak. Reservations at LeConte Lodge are very hard to come by, so I was thrilled when an invitation was extended to me to join the trip. To say it was beautiful would be an understatement. The scene was simply stunning and made for a beautiful (and snowy) descent.

I think it is something I will adjust to. The hardest time of the day is at 1pm though, after I eat lunch, especially when it is so sunny and beautiful outside like it is today.
