http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
June 9, 2012. Duke is a little upset because he came in from a short walk and some stranger said he looked like Queen Victoria. No doubt we are in Canada. Links to this post. Posted by Kish Pisani. June 8, 2012. Imagine the looks we get while driving down the road. Links to this post. Posted by Kish Pisani. June 7, 2012. Living on the edge. Some would say Danielle has always lived on the edge. This photo says it all. She will really miss Montreal as it's her high school home. Links to this post. The West...

Pisani Canadian Adventures: August 2011
http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
August 31, 2011. I just love the northeast. The kids and I took a quick overnight trip to Burlington, Vermont to. Save a shitload of money by avoiding 15% sales tax and inflated prices in Canada. Shop for school clothes. It's worth the trip as there is not sales tax on shoes and clothing in Vermont and as we all know, that stuff adds up. Plus, it was a reason to hit the road and head south and also go to our favorite Burlington Mexican restaurant. Links to this post. Posted by Kish Pisani. August 25, 2011.

Pisani Canadian Adventures: May 2012
http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
May 27, 2012. Has been through a lot in the last several days. Long story short.some rapidly growing lumps on his front paw have been aspirated for testing and a subsequent surgery was initiated this past Thursday to remove as many of the tumors as possible - there are five in such a small space. Is not a good patient. His discharge papers on Friday said "no running, jumping, chasing balls or stairs for FOUR WEEKS." He broke each of those rules within being home for 24 hours. Dog returns to the doctor on...

Pisani Canadian Adventures: Happy 4th of July
http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2012/07/happy-4th-of-july.html
July 4, 2012. Happy 4th of July. We had a wicked, but very cool storm roll through Montreal this afternoon for 4th of July. It's always strange being out of our country for our country's unique holiday. It's business as usual in Canada. It's also a bit odd thinking this is likely our last official US holiday in Canada. We had a quiet day. Officially we did have some baseball (Louis had baseball camp), apple pie (thanks, Costco) and a Chevrolet (Paul's car). Posted by Kish Pisani. Why are they in Canada?

Pisani Canadian Adventures: February 2012
http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
February 10, 2012. Because hockey is a religion in Quebec. We did attend mass one time at a beautiful French church. Surprisingly, we got a lot out of it and could understand what was going on as most Catholics are going through the motions anyway. Amen. The Catholic church has been in the news a lot lately and not in a good way. So in the last couple of days when this ad campaign caught my attention, I had to laugh. Some say hockey is a religion in these parts, and this campaign makes the case. It tells...

Pisani Canadian Adventures: December 2011
http://canadapisani.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
December 20, 2011. When politics crosses the (goal) line. Montreal and the rest of Quebec is all a-buzz with the news of the firing of the Montreal Canadiens coach (a French dude) and the hiring of an interim coach by the name of Randy Cunneyworth. He's a unilingual anglophone. A fancy way of saying he doesn't speak French. Cunneyworth comes with great credentials and he was hired from within the Canadiens organization. Everyone should be happy, yes? Ok sell the house get back to Blackhawk country. W...
