Saturday, February 22, 2014. The Opal Hill Mine. Todays adventure was to find the Opal Hill Mine, to get there we travelled along the Bradshaw Trail west of Blythe. We crossed over a mountain range and came across a Long Term Camping area called Mule Mountains. A very faded sign on the Wiley Wells road looked like it said Opal so we decided to give it a try. Isobel and Marmaduke having lunch. As well as Ron and Doug. The cactus take on such wonderful colors in the sun. More flowers blooming in the desert.

Tuesday, October 21, 2014. First visit to the Bethany Pioneer Cemetery where we were looking for our great grandfather John Rockmore Jones. On the other side of town I was given the plat map to the original 640 acres that Stephen Jones was given in 1850 under the Oregon Donation Land Act. The following pictures are some of the property where our great grandfather grew up. The land was sold about 1874 after Stephens second wife Mary Cox died to man named John Mozier. Monday, December 2, 2013. Today our friends Clyde and Jane called up and said meet us in Borrego Springs for lunch and off we went. Now I am not sure what I have done but my pictures are all mixed up but here goes nothing. The serpent stretches on both sides of the road. Saturday, November 30, 2013. Caliente Springs Desert Hot Springs. Here we are all set up in our new park, oh I love Palm Springs. The park is nice, lots of green grass and water displays, it has a small golf course right in. But my favorite are the hot pools, I think there are six pools in total. Oh and of course our spot.
