Recipe Post: December 2006

http://www.recipepost.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html

All of us like to eat. Here's a place to exchange recipes. Monday, December 25, 2006. Cranberry Orange Quick Bread. This is a very much easier version of the (in)famous cranberry/orange cake I've been making for the holidays for about 20 years, so you've all been subject to the "turn around cake". This is actually an old recipe I found in one of my many collections that have been building over the years. Try this easy version - you'll really like it. Spray a loaf pan and set the oven for 350. 1 small sha...

The Tootles: June 2011

http://tootlefam.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 10, 2011. Tonight, after his bath, Otis was flipping through Steve's Road and Track. Magazine and started cheerfully counting to 10, over and over. We were so surprised because until this moment, his counting consisted of "two, three, four, nine." It was also the first time he put more than two related words together. He'll say "big truck" and "Stuck! And "Brr, Cold" but to hear his little voice clearly saying TEN words in a row was pretty amazing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, October 28, 2010. A connoisseur of fine literature. Friday, October 8, 2010. Going, going, going! Or "Pat your head! Particularly cute is his attempt to flex his muscles. Even though he's a busy, busy boy, he's still lovey toward his mom and dad. He gives lots of kisses, and while I'm rocking him before his naps he scoots down, lifts my shirt, lays his head right on my belly, and falls asleep within a minute. First haircut at Mom's Salon. The Tootles: Halloween Fun

http://tootlefam.blogspot.com/2010/11/halloween-fun.html

Wednesday, November 10, 2010. We had a picture perfect Halloween this year. Here are some favorite shots of the festivities. You can see all of them at http:/ tootlefam.shutterfly.com. Pumpkin carving after church. At first Otis wasn't sure about the "guts". But soon he became very interested in stirring the pumpkin guts and removing and replacing the lid. He loves rhyme right now, so we had a lot of fun saying "Scoop the goop! In fact, that's probably how we got this smile out of Otis a little later.

The Tootles: November 2009

http://tootlefam.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 23, 2009. Four Months and a Milestone (sort of). There are new Otis photos at tootlefam.shutterfly.com. Otis turned four months old on Thursday. Our healthy boy weighs 17 pounds already, and I'm starting to forget what it was like to hold him when he was only seven or eight pounds. I had him on my lap on the floor last Sunday and he kept leaning forward, so I put him on his tummy and he happily hung out there for a few minutes. Then he rolled over all by himself. Sunday, November 22, 2009.

The Tootles: April 2010

http://tootlefam.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Otis turned 9 months old yesterday, and to celebrate, he learned how to give kisses. I can now say "Otis! Kisses for mama" and he will look at me, open his mouth wide, and press his drooly little mouth on my lips. Then, he figured out how to pull himself up on things. While I was running an errand tonight, he showed Steve how he could pull up on the TV stand, the ottoman, the end table and the couch. It's on! Here are some recent favorites:. Hmm, I wonder if anyone loves Otis?

The Tootles: January 2010

http://tootlefam.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Yep, it's true. Otis turned six months old yesterday! I probably say this in every post, and it's the total parent cliche, but time just seems to be flying by. From time to time (including the past half hour) I pathetically look at photos from the day he was born and blink away tears. He's growing up so fast, already! Since my last post, Otis has been a very busy boy. Here's some of what he's been up to lately:. First Christmas in Ohio. Otis and his Grandma Bein. Great Grandm...

Furry Cookbook Portfolio

The Furry Cookbook Portfolio. 26 Feb 2008 09:02pm. Many many many apologies that finishing the portfolio has taken so long, guys. Life's happened, and while that in itself hasn't taken all my time, my tendency to deal with Life Happening by shirking all responsibilities in order to sulk and/or escape from reality in one way or another has taken care of the rest. Low fat diets can make you depressed. Research has linked diets that drastically cut down on all types of fat with an increase in symptoms of depression. Turkey and chicken contain a good source of mood enhancing tryptophan, an essential amino acid which is converted into serotonin - which can be low in people suffering from depression. Contrary to popular belief, tinned tuna is not a good source of omega-3 essential fatty acids as the canning process reduces the tuna's fat content.
