The chicken salad is in the blue bowl behind my spinach artichoke dip). 4-6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves - boiled and shredded or cubed (whichever you prefer). 1 1/2 to 2 stalks celery diced (fairly small) I'm not big on the taste of celery (or lack thereof) but I like the crunch, so if you like it chunkier, go for it, but I like it diced pretty small. 1/2 cup pecans chopped.

The May Family: Hawaii Update! We Love It Here!

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2015/04/hawaii-update-we-love-it-here.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Monday, April 13, 2015. We Love It Here! Hanging out at the pool with a bestie and our kids! My last update was sort of an introduction to Hawaii for my family and our friends that are far away. I have to admit, I was pretty down on Hawaii when we first got here. I was lonely and missing Virginia and all of the friends we had left behind. Moving is hard! Anyway, we have been here in Hawaii for almost five months now and we have done a COMPLETE 180 on opinions here!

The May Family: Ivy-isms

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2013/10/ivy-isms.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Friday, October 25, 2013. I always forget to write down all of the crazy kooky things my kids say or the adorable way they pronounce different words. Here are a few "Ivy-isms," but only a few because it's late and I can't remember all of them. Manas" - bananas (it used to be just "mas."). Pick me up/ hold me. All done " - No more/ I'm done with this ex: All done diaper cream! She had a bad rash and didn't want anything else down there.". Posted by Jill May. Holman's o...

The May Family: June 2013

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Timing is Everything ( A Labor Story). It's been a few days now and the details are already becoming blurry. I figured I had better get this typed up before I forget everything! Finally around 3:20AM we were out the door and on our way. The drive was awful. I was holding onto the handle in the door and trying to push my feet against the floor on the way to the hospital. I did NOT want to be sitting, but what can you do? I later found out that E...

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Thursday, November 28, 2013. Our little "bud bud" is over five months old! Another month or so and we should be through the worst of it! There have been a lot of tears around here these past 5 months. tears from Joel, tears from the girls, and tears from me, but we are doing so much better! Joel is becoming more aware of his surroundings and more mobile and interactive every day and this is WONDERFUL! Just look at those cheeks and fingers! It's just super great. I...

The May Family: Lilia Humor

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2014/01/lilia-humor.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. I just have to write this down so that I don't forget. Lilia said the funniest thing tonight and it may have been her first true intentional joke! A little background so that you understand. This is a reference to the song, "Let it Go" from "Frozen."). Posted by Jill May. I dont think I will be able to sing that song straight anymore. Drool never bothered me anyway! January 25, 2014 at 9:06 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Monday, September 24, 2012. Politics, Religion, and Parenting. I get called an idiot, a bigot, or a bad mother about 50 times a day every day of the week by my friends and family. Does this happen to you, too? What terrible friends, right? Well not necessarily. I don't think that these friends and family members are 100% aware of what they are doing. Maybe they are, but I like to think that they are not and that is what this post is about. Awareness. If you want to si...

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Friday, February 6, 2015. Everything is Awesome. except, you know, the parts that aren't. In case you haven't heard, we moved to Hawaii. Honolulu, Oahu to be exact. We found out that we had orders to this duty station in July and have clung to the Dream of Hawaii ever since. The Dream of Hawaii got me through Cliff's deployment and a seriously stressful move, (is there any other kind? Fallen a bit short:. Arm, leg, and future children. The Adventures of Our Little Family. Friday, March 8, 2013. Our Online Grocery Store! Shameless Plug for Relay Foods). A couple of my friends have recently asked me to expound on our online shopping experiences. I will try my best in this post to describe the modern shopping miracle that RelayFoods.com is to our family. I can't even fathom that possibility. yet. What to do? Relay Foods to the rescue! It sounded too good to be true. What's the catch? Do they jack up the prices of the products they sell?

http://jillandcliffmay.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

The Adventures of Our Little Family. Monday, February 18, 2013. Update on Our Food Journey and Recipe. One of my favorite successes during our "Food Overhaul," has been our homemade granola. I'll post the recipe below. It's an adaptation of a good friend's recipe and we LOVE IT. When we embarked on this journey into eating healthier foods and more natural foods I will admit that I panicked about snacks. What will I feed the girls for snacks? Spread out on the pan and ready to bake! It's a little tricky t...

Just another WordPress.com site. Lemon-Basil Italian Ice Sugar-free dessert recipe. I’ve loved Italian ice since my very first taste of it at Mario’s Italian Lemonade. Stand in Chicago’s Little Italy back in 1984. I was blown away by the combination of icey, lemony, sweet, and real peel. It’s incredibly refreshing on a hot summer day.
