https://recipesandrucksacks.wordpress.com/2014/08/01/simple-chilli-toffee-shards

August 1, 2014. August 1, 2014. Simple Chilli Toffee Shards. Great for finishing off a dessert with panache! 05 tsp dried chilli flakes. Line a small baking tray with parchment. In a pan, using only a low heat, melt the sugar with the chilli. Don’t stir but move the pan around to help melt evenly. When the colour is a golden brown pour into the baking tray, tipping the tray to get an even layer. Leave to set and break into shards when ready. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. September 6, 2014. I never have tahini in my cupboard anyway……this version uses natural yoghurt instead. Saves on calories, doesn’t compromise on taste. Ssshh…. don’t tell the purist or traditionalists. Just try it. Have a look at the other variations below too. Freezes really well. Roasted Red Pepper Hummos. Serves 4 128 cals per portion. 1 Red Pepper, halved. 1 Garlic Clove, unpeeled. 1 Can of Chickpeas, drained. 05 Small Red Chilli, finely chopped. It’s that easy! Lemon and Coriander Hummos.
