Harris Happenings: 4th of July at Surfside
http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2015/07/4th-of-july-at-surfside.html
Sunday, July 5, 2015. 4th of July at Surfside. Caleb worked the Freeport Fishing Fiesta, and had a hotel room so he invited us to join him. We stopped at Sea Center and enjoyed their Touch Tank. The girls bounced around so excited about our musty old beach hotel, but after a while they decided they like LaQuintas better. While Caleb set up for the event, we headed to the beach! We enjoyed floating with the current in the 'rolly' zone-out past the crashing of the waves. Sunday morning we woke up early and...

Harris Happenings: April 2015
http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Now that today is going to be 90, I am reflecting on our wonderful spring of 2015. Our neighborhood water retention pond has been rumored to have an alligator but this year we finally saw it ourselves and several times, both on the grass and in the water (above). For about two weeks we would go check on it daily. The mama never was too sure about us but didn't always do her fake hurt flying away. At the LBJWC Gloria got to pretend to be mama killdeer. Get away from my babies".

Harris Happenings: July 2014
http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 26, 2014. Day 10 - St Pete. We woke up to another warm and beautiful Sunday! Had blueberries in our pancakes! And got ready for church. The outside of their church. It was the last week for the summer students so they had a translator for the sermon, which was Jesus telling his disciples to follow him and the first place they went was back home. They also had four give testimonies and a prayer of blessing for them returning. She spoke to him in Russian and he said-Finally! This is a banya,...

Harris Happenings: April
http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2015/05/april.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. I love spring, therefore I love April! I went on one of Gloria's class hikes. Here we are with Hazel. At an egg hunt at Hyde Park. Lydia was less than impressed with posing with the bunny but she did it! Good Friday was a school day (they had a two week spring break) so we took their teachers Easter lilies. Since they have two teachers each, our carpool buddies got to hold one on the drive as well. Passover, family came to celebrate with us. I also went on one of Lydia's class hikes.

http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2015/05/rockport-beach.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. Caleb had a class so we joined him on the beach in Rockport for a weekend in April This crab is a famous spot to take pictures. The girls and I enjoyed a cool calm morning on the beach. When it rained we headed to the small but fun aquarium. And then met up with Lari Jo and Samantha for an early dinner and walks on the beach. Next morning was dummy so we enjoyed the beach for a bit more. As well as the awesome hotel swimming pool before heading home. View my complete profile.

Harris Happenings: March 2015
http://c-eharrishappenings.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Here we go, week two of Spring Break, off to Goliad State Park and camping. It sprinkled on us the drive there and we quickly set up our tent. The rain stopped and we enjoyed exploring their short trails, the mission and riding bikes again as a family of four! The edge of the highway had beautiful bluebonnets and our first large groups to see of the season. Then we hiked around and did a second day of crafts at the mission with the rangers. We got Junior Ranger backpacks that h...

Sunday, August 12, 2012. The Apron Day 2: Root Beer-less. With this fabric, I can do anything! A few weeks later I make it back to my sister's, but after work, so it's a later start. It's nervous-making, knowing that this is the last of the fabric, but at least I'm confident of my measurements this time. A few slices later my apron is apron-shaped. Success! Turns out it's quite difficult to take this kind of picture. A pocket in its natural state. Not finished yet, but a good, productive day :). Patterns...
