Strawberries | EAT MY PLANTS!
https://eatmyplants.wordpress.com/2014/07/15/strawberries
Organic Food and Pretty Flowers. July 15, 2014. I’m currently doing video production at a Megadeth concert but have a short window to post some pics. We had Strawberries daily for nearly 6 weeks this year. It started slowly with only a few berries a day and soon grew into a nice bowl of berries each morning before winding down to a few berries a day again. There are a couple of berries still coming but the end is upon us. July 15, 2014. Good weather means good growth. Good weather means good growth.

Fresh Grape Juice | EAT MY PLANTS!
https://eatmyplants.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/fresh-grape-juice
Organic Food and Pretty Flowers. December 3, 2013. We scored some grapes as part of our share at the farm co-op. We had been getting them pretty regularly and we all had extra. This particular week I decided to make some juice with them. I tossed them into a non-stick pot and added just enough water to cover the grapes. I had never made this before but several online resources suggested that you simply bring them to a boil, simmer 10 minutes then mash them up. Check them out here. December 3, 2013. Fill ...

Here they come! | EAT MY PLANTS!
https://eatmyplants.wordpress.com/2014/04/18/here-they-come
Organic Food and Pretty Flowers. April 18, 2014. It’s still been pretty cold outside and I’ve not had enough free time to get into the gardens and beds. Despite the neglect, some of the flowers are taking care of themselves. Pictured here are Crocus, Tulips, and Hyacinth. In the background are Iris and Daylily. Here are the Garlic Chive I sampled from Jason’s garden and planted early last season. They’re smaller than the Onion Chives and only slightly different in taste. April 18, 2014. AND THE WINNER IS?

Fall into Winter – Happy New Year | EAT MY PLANTS!
https://eatmyplants.wordpress.com/2014/01/01/fall-into-winter-happy-new-year
Organic Food and Pretty Flowers. Fall into Winter – Happy New Year. January 1, 2014. The season was ending. Harvests were getting less frequent yet I still had much to do. At this point I should have been pulling hydration lines, cutting mulch and compost into the beds, but I was only collecting seeds. As you can see from the picture above, Morning Glory were still coming on strong. Put them where you want them, they reseed themselves quite thoroughly for me. Beans were producing great seed specimens.

Good weather means good growth. | EAT MY PLANTS!
https://eatmyplants.wordpress.com/2014/06/04/good-weather-means-good-growth
Organic Food and Pretty Flowers. Good weather means good growth. June 4, 2014. Even though the deer ate the Strawberries to the ground in Fall, they made a resurgence in early spring. There’s plenty of new growth. As we approached June, the Strawberry plants got stronger and appeared to make fruit. There’s not bushels of berries to be had but considering the feast that the deer made of them last season, we’ll be happy with the yield. We cleared the beds and prepared them for planting. Brenda took the can...

There’s so much vegetation and so few Tomatoes. It’s really awesome to see how crazy this has gotten. Then there’s this GIGANTIC Kong Sunflower. I hope the picture does it justice. It’s towering. I harvest the heads…. September 13, 2013. What is this bug? Can anyone tell me what this is? September 13, 2013. September 13, 2013.
