Just another WordPress.com site. Asymp; 1 Comment. I know that this is going to be a blog about my jewellery, but I am starting with a poem. She did not enter voluntarily. The transformation is inescapable. Enclosed in a house of her own making. She waits in darkness. Her sleep is plagued with fear. She does not know of the beauty. She will soon possess. Or the freedom and joy of wings. Inside her cocoon the future is unknown. But those outside eagerly anticipate. They know what awaits her.

Just another WordPress.com site. Do you see what I see? March 16, 2012. No takers on yesterday’s quiz? Can you tell what common household item this is? Bonus points for getting the connection to this post. Answers tomorrow! Ok, this was a tease but also a little exercise in perspective for me. You’re looking at a close up of the beater from a hand mixer. The illusion is that the stripes are all convex, when in fact you’re looking straight through so every other one is concave. Are they in or out? Create ...

52 definitions of joy. one per week, through craft. Laquo; I heart joy. It starts with wonder, always wonder. August 14, 2012. I took a four day art workshop last week: Oil and Cold Wax with Rebecca Crowell (www.rebeccacrowell.com). Four whole days full of mess, inspiration, laughter, frustration, awe, color and play. I deem it transporting for many reasons:. I spent two days tracking materials that had been transported to this oh so small town a week ago! Perhaps I’ll just leave them here? You are comme...

Sometimes truth is best explored in poetry. April 27, 2014. The Price of Hate. I wanted to do this. In my own time. To wait until I was ready. Until I had the answers. I’m still asking myself. I wanted to do this. When I felt secure. To wait until I’d talked. With those I owe. Deep levels of trust. To share face to face. Or at least Skype to Skype. I wanted to do this. After I’d told my family. To wait until the perfect moment. And I was ready for. I wanted to do this. When I knew how to explain. Makes t...

Skip to primary content. 8230;and now it’s time to rest…. August 12, 2011. 8230;I think the Internet’s trying to tell me something. Last week, if you’ll recall. I found and shared this post. And I told a friend that I was feeling like maybe I needed a short blog-holiday to get some perspective and catch my breath. This week I found this post. 8230;a bit heavy-handed, this Universe of ours😛. So you’ll only really miss me for the last full week of August. And then I’ll be back. Promise. I’m wrestling with...

Liberating myself from hope and fear | The Girl Who Notices

The Girl Who Notices. Photos, stories or anything really that gets my attention! Liberating myself from hope and fear. November 18, 2012. I made this sign to hang in my livingroom to remind me of one of the lessons I am learning, particularly from my meditation practice, about being. 8216; seems like such a simple concept but I have found the need to practice it because we live in an era of distractions and avoidance. It is infinitely easier to stay. In The Place Beyond Hope and Fear. Margaret Wheatley w...

The Girl Who Notices. Photos, stories or anything really that gets my attention! August Break: Day Twelve. August 27, 2012. After five and a half long month, my darling daughter is finally home. She enjoys vegetarian cuisine so I decided to make one of my favorite recipes which I found on this fabulous blog http:/ blog.fatfreevegan.com/2006/07/international-quinoa-salad.html. I have tweaked the recipe just a little based on my own preferences. The dressing is super light and tasty: 3 tbsp light olive oil...

The Girl Who Notices. Photos, stories or anything really that gets my attention! December 1, 2012. This week I read a blog post from a fabulous writer, Karen, who I met at a retreat last year. She made a statement that has resonated with me all week about feeling less than. I can’t seem to get these thoughts out of my head so I feel compelled to write about it. And even more importantly, how to I become a person who others feel calmer, secure and confident when they are around me? All of these recognize ...

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything. – William Shakespeare. The walk is between the towns of Agerola, Praiano and Positano, about 500 meters above sea level. Recreating MySelf in Portland

Recreating MySelf in Portland. AKA My Spiritual Journey. Tuesday, October 6, 2009. This past weekend at a ChIME class, we did life-size images of ourselves. I had no idea what I was going to do, but trusted the creative process and began. Almost at once I knew that she/I had to be cloaked in royal purple, but there was not purple paint! So I made some!
