He city of Red Bay is a growing and busy place, with home-grown companies providing economic stability. Sunshine Feed Mills, which produces Sunshine Pet Food as well as George Jones Pet Food, began in Red Bay and now produces dog and cat food nationally. Another local company with roots in Red Bay is Tiffin Motor Homes, which produces Allegro brand recreational vehicles that can also be seen traveling on highways throughout the country.

Upon entering the museum, the first exhibit is a recreation of the Red Bay Hotel lobby, complete with original counter, key holder, neon sign, room door with transom and staircase, all restored to their original grandeur. Many smaller items used in the drug store and soda fountain are displayed in one of the original display cases from the drug store.
