Byers Back track Shaws Lake circuit. July 25, 2015. Ice puddles in the carpark as we started out. Tops of the trees covered in frost. Moss by the track sparkled with frost too. Coral fungi wearing ice jackets. Growing on the side of a tree. Liverworts abound. Fur blanketing one side of the track… we found the rest of the animal a bit later…. Golden point car park entrance in the morning sun. Bridge across the Lerderderg river at the springs. Shaws lake track winding through the trees. How we got there.
