I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. It's been a long time since I've posted. Things got a little crazy around here. Tried to buy a house, closing fell through. Still had to move out of apartment. Nomadic Northeasters, stayed w/ friends while homeless. Baked "Recession Hotdish" for Art-A-Whirl. Studied for and completed three final exams. Completed first year of grad school. Worked on and participated in Bike Walk Week. Moved into new house.

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Cyclopath and Breezer Birthday Bike. Every time I discover something new in the world of bicycling, especially things created/invented/manufactured in the Twin Cities, I feel lucky to live in Minneapolis, and want to tell everyone I know. I share my discoveries with others, whether it's new to everyone, or just new to me. Check it out here at: http:/ cyclopath.org/. Don't you have more important things to be doing w...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Pedal Pub - FietsCafe. How else would a bunch of bicycle advocacy dorks celebrate a fellow bicycle advocacy dork's. Sixteen of us took to the streets of downtown Minneapolis for "Minneapolis Bike Guy"s 32 nd. The birthday boy opted for the Downtown Minneapolis route. Little did many of us know that it was the same night as the Minneapolis Aquatennial. The parade goers had already set up camp along Hennepin. Braving ...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. To Ride or Not to Ride. It seems that each year the weather turns gorgeous just before St. Patrick's Day. Enough so that St. Patrick's Day, over the past few years at least, has been the first day that I pull the bike out of winter hibernation. Even if I KNOW for sure that we will get snow once more before spring truly arrives. Not jaded, just realistic, I know my home. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The True Tales...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Talkin' bout the weather. I can't avoid it. I'm a Minnesotan, born and raised, and we can't help but talk about our crazy weather. As though after 15, 26, 35, or 78 years a swing of 40 degrees over 24 hours is something shocking. Those darn Alberta Clippers. One day a frigid -20F, the next 20F. Whew, now that that's out of my system. I CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK ON MY BIKE! 1 can - Spam or Spam LITE, shredded. 1 can - ...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Minneapolis is just wrapping up the addition of a crazy number of bicycle lane and bicycle path mileage. Seriously, it's almost doubled in the last couple years, and there is more to come this spring 2012. Here is one of the key websites attached to many of these grand openings: Bike.Walk.Move. What will my next endeavor look like? I was thinking that over the winter it might be fun to go out and purchase a t-shirt ...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Someone posted this event in the comments of a previous post, quite some time ago. I failed to put it up earlier, but am very excited that it is fast approaching! I have been spreading the word to folks at work, and in other circles, but hopefully putting it up here will help the cause too! In my humble opinion.). Who doesn't love a big "family" photo to display? Weather is no excuse for the native Minnesotans, but ...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Well, I'm back, Yes I'm back. Well, I'm back, Yes I'm back. Well, I'm back, back. Well I'm back in black. Yes I'm back in black". Baby WKTB arrived on Friday, May 21st at 12:54 am. He was only 54 minutes late for his due date! Did I mention he arrived at a whopping 11 lbs. 11 oz and 22.5 inches long? I hope to reach my goal weight by riding my bike. (In addition to joining weight watchers.again! It will be a bit yet...

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Gearing up for Spring! I just found my new favorite spring bike accessory. I'm so excited. Queen Bee is a company in Portland, OR that creates hand sewn bags and other accessories. Now, they have just introduced a line of bike panniers that are TO DIE FOR! They are made out of high quality, water proof, PVC -free materials, and up the safety factor with reflective side panels. And most importantly?

I thought of that while riding my bicycle." Albert Einstein, on the theory of relativity. Saw this on another blog, but can't recall which one. I thought it was rather interesting! I was searching for something like this when I started driving Jon's car a bit here and there, but no such thing yet exists in Minnesota, as far as I could find. Let me know if anyone else has heard otherwise, but here's a story about Texas, from the BikePortland blog. Not at all bicycling related. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
