Craig Edwards: Student of the Red Brown Earth. Wood fired ceramics using local materials. Saturday, October 6, 2012. 65279;. Above: Cracking the door to see the pots. 65279;The addition of the bag wall has definitely helped get the heat higher in the kiln. This time Cone 12 was down at the bottom with Cone 11 flat and Cone 12 bending at the top. I guess I will have to continue with slight modifications to the bagwall over the next few firings. 65279;. 65279;. 65279;. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Craig Edwards: Student of the Red Brown Earth. Wood fired ceramics using local materials. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. In December 2006 in the midst of drought, my dad had a great number of his dams excavated when they were dry. Obviously to remove silt etc. and allow more water storage when it eventually rained again. I was curious about the clays that could be 'found' this way. In one dam in particular we found 'white stuff', as my dad called it, I was instantly intrigued. 65279;. 65279;.

Craig Edwards: Student of the Red Brown Earth. Wood fired ceramics using local materials. Saturday, February 25, 2012. Building the form for the arch. Once I had cut the catenary curve into two identical pieces of plywood, I started building the form for the arch my connecting the two pieces together with a series of wooden battons (70x30mm Pine). As I will be transporting the form from my home to 'Spring Creek' some 375kms away I have made sure it fits neatly in a trailer. Tuesday, February 21, 2012.

Craig Edwards: Student of the Red Brown Earth. Wood fired ceramics using local materials. Sunday, July 21, 2013. Slightly overcooked but best firing in this kiln so far. I cracked the kiln to reveal pleasing results. The kiln fired hottest at the top of the kiln where my cloud glaze (chun blue) was over fired to a clear gloss. As the temperature varied to the bottom of the kiln however, so did the blue glaze on the tall vertical forms which I was happy with. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Kiln at top temp.

Red, Brown and Blue. Raise the Torch: The RBB Study of Undocumented Immigrants. Written by Rudy Ruiz July 31st, 2012 Comments (0). Click to download full report. So what happened to that promise and ideal? And how can we break the gridlock and forge a viable solution that upholds our ideals as a nation? As Red Brown and Blue (RBB) pondered the problem and sought to contribute to that solution, we arrived at this hypothesis:. Helping to break the gridlock by illuminating new areas of shared understanding ...

Red, Brown, and Blue | Tufts students hash out politics, the election, and their student experience.

Red, Brown, and Blue. September 21, 2009 · 8:57 pm. I Rebut Tim Part 1. Ok, still no one has replied here. But, I do have a friend on Tufts Dems, Tim L., a self-described Christian Socialist, who attempted a multi-part rebuttal to my previous post. I have pasted it here, so that my response will not give me the appearance of tilting at windmills or debating straw men. Since Tim’s posts came piecemeal, I’ll deal with them one by one. Mike’s Demonstrably Superior Response (MDSR):. Well, for one, Democratic...

Craig Edwards: Student of the Red Brown Earth. Wood fired ceramics using local materials. Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Bloating: firing fault ruins good pots. After hours of work making, glazing and firing your pots, the opening of the kiln door can lead to some anxious moments. As the door opens your eyes quickly try to assess the setting; first looking for disasters like broken pots, are they all there? And they all standing? Side view- large lump in the side of the vessel. So what caused this bloating?

If he can take and post pictures all at once, perhaps this site can get an update or two before the next overseas adoption. From the mind of Eric. February 26, 2009. What's Wrong With This Picture?
